For the past two years, I taught 9th grade math at Pennbrook Middle School. The opportunity to move up to the High School arose, where I did my student teaching, and I decided to request a transfer. It has always been a dream of mine to teach at the High School level, and I will now be able to do that! I absolutely loved teaching at the middle school, and I learned so much. Throughout my first two years of teaching, there were some students I felt I did not reach. Although I know you will not always reach and connect with every student, there were some students that really surprised me by the end of the year. Teaching truly is the most rewarding job; and while there are tough days, the good days show you why every tough day is worth it. I cannot imagine myself doing anything else. Building relationships with students is my absolute favorite part of the job. My favorite beach to go to is Ocean City, New Jersey. I hope to have a house there one day.
