         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Recognise that passive hearing and active listening are not the same</strong>; look out for verbal and non-verbal feedback of others, adjust our messages to facilitate greater understanding <br><br><strong>Listen with our eyes, ears and gut</strong>; communication is more than just words <br><br><strong>Take time to understand while trying to be understood</strong>; communication happens both ways, be open to what others might say <br><br><strong>Be aware of personal perceptual filters</strong>; our perceptions on things might not be the same as others due to our culture, religion etc. Hence, do not assume that our perception is the definite truth <br><br><strong>Paraphrase</strong>; Put everything the other party says into your own words. In this scenerio, the other party will know if we understood what they are trying to convey<br><strong><br>Be clear of what we want to convey;</strong> avoid using jargons which the other party might not understand.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
