Tourism has a positive impact on economic growth and development since when there is tourist activity, visitors increase and spend more money in the destination, which undoubtedly leads to an increase in GDP and economic growth of the place itself where said activity was carried out. tourist activity.

 

The main positive economic impacts of tourism are mainly related to foreign exchange earnings, due to the contribution to public income, the generation of employment and business opportunities.

 

Some socioeconomic benefits that tourism entails in the short term, include job creation, diversification of income sources, promotion and protection of local culture, profitability of local economic activities, among others. On the other hand, some positive socioeconomic benefits of tourism in the long term, we can highlight the reduction of poverty, the increase of local pride, reduction of the rural exodus, the assessment of equity, among other benefits.

Tourism also carries some negative environmental, social and economic impacts. The negative effects that can occur thanks to tourism could be the destruction and fragmentation of habitat and loss of associated biodiversity due to human actions that can harm them. Likewise, it also has a negative impact on the social sphere since it can generate incompatibility of projects with regional socioeconomic trends, immigration, health risks and an increase in crime and insecurity. And the negative impacts that tourism can have on economic aspects could be local inflation, excessive import of resources and supplies, among others.

       Tourism has a large impact on Hawaii’s natural environment in a negative way. Islands like Hawaii rarely have the land capacity or resources to sustain the amount of tourism that they receive. The creation of infrastructure to support this tourism has caused a degradation of Hawaii’s natural environment. This takes a strain on Hawaii’s wildlife with now 44% of the United States endangered species being located in Hawaii. This further has a domino effect of impacting the crops in Hawaii. With less wildlife the land has become less fertile therefore making it harder to grow crops. Angel Falls in Venezuela does not have any negative effects of tourism development. This is so because tourism development as a whole is underdeveloped in Venezuela at the moment. They are still working to build on that.

El turismo impacta positivamente en el crecimiento y desarrollo económico ya que cuando hay actividad turística, los visitantes aumentan y gastan más dinero en el destino, lo cual sin duda conduce a un incremento del PIB y al crecimiento económico del lugar en sí donde se realizo dicha actividad turística. 

 

Los principales impactos económicos positivos del turismo están relacionados principalmente con los ingresos por divisas, por la contribución a los ingresos públicos, la generación de empleo y las oportunidades de negocio. 

 

Algunos beneficios socioeconómicos que conlleva el turismo a corto plazo, se pueden destacar la creación de empleo, diversificación de las fuentes de ingreso, promoción y protección de la cultura local, a la rentabilidad de las actividades económicas locales, entre otros. Por otro lado, algunos beneficios socioeconómicos positivos del turismo a largo plazo, se puede destacar la reducción de la pobreza, el aumento del orgullo local, reducción del éxodo rural, la valoración de le equidad, entre otros beneficios más.  

·         ¿Cuáles son los impactos negativos del turismo (por ejemplo, impacto económico, ambiental, social)?

El turismo también conlleva algunos impactos negativos en cuanto a lo ambiental, social y económico. Los efectos negativos que pueden llegar a ocurrir gracias al turismo pudiese ser la destrucción y fragmentación del hábitat y pérdida de la biodiversidad asociada debido a las acciones humanas que pueden perjudicarlas. Así mismo, también impacta negativamente al ámbito social ya que puede generar incompatibilidad de proyectos con las tendencias socioeconómicas regionales, inmigración, riesgos para la salud y aumento de delincuencia e inseguridad. Y los impactos negativos que puede llegar a tener el turismo en los aspectos económicos pudiese ser la inflación local, importación excesiva de recursos e insumos, entre otros.

El turismo tiene un gran impacto negativo en el entorno natural de Hawái. Las islas como Hawái rara vez tienen la capacidad terrestre o los recursos para sostener la cantidad de turismo que reciben. La creación de infraestructura para apoyar este turismo ha provocado una degradación del entorno natural de Hawái. Esto ejerce presión sobre la vida silvestre de Hawái, ya que ahora el 44% de las especies en peligro de extinción de los Estados Unidos se encuentran en Hawái. Esto además tiene un efecto dominó de impacto en los cultivos en Hawái. Con menos vida silvestre, la tierra se ha vuelto menos fértil, por lo que es más difícil cultivar. El Salto Ángel en Venezuela no tiene ningún efecto negativo del desarrollo turístico. Esto es así porque el desarrollo turístico en su conjunto está subdesarrollado en Venezuela en este momento. Todavia están trabajando para construir sobre eso.

3.A simple ,but overlooked part of tourism is how it affects the people who already live in the area. When a large number of people are going to a specific location the price of food and goods is going to increase without a doubt.  Another negative impact economically is how taxes are always going to get jacked up as well. Trains,Buses and any type of transport fuel driven damages the environment in many different ways. The carbon emissions that are in the air are very bad for our environment and many airlines are trying to put an end to it by 2030.  Negative social impacts can be anything from tourists not getting along with people who already reside there or even crime in the overall area.

4. Isla de la Tortuga:

 The negative impacts tourism has on Acadia national park and  Morrocoy National Park is pollutants in the park, loss of land, and people often litter in the park. • Another positive impacts that tourism have in the Grand Canyon it’s the erosion from the Colorado river as tourism increase with each year these benefits with the erosion of the Grand Canyon.

• This is one of the most aprhodisiac islands in Venezuela staying close to La guaira at 160 Km you can go to the island in private airplanes, boats, or light aircraft just only in 25 minutes of trip.

Tourism can in fact be negative for those that pay to live somewhere year round. While its great for the economy of a specific area it can often have negative effects on the social aspects. 

Out of all the impacts that tourism can have, its biggest factor is the negative impact on the environment. Massive amounts of waste, water overuse and even a large carbon footprint as huge reasons why tourism can affect an area.

The socio-economic contribution of tourism is the constant rotation of residents, visitors and employees in different parts of the world.

Increases in economy wealth, making certain areas more livable, increases employment rates, helps the country's infrastructure and creates more room for entrepreneurship increasing the quality of life for the locals.
