Because of the harsh winds most of the animals and crops would die. So it would be hard to eat food when there isn't that much of it. The second obstacle would be trying to keep the dust from entering the house. It would be hard because the wind carries it all around, but keeping the dust away would save your life.

One problem is that the dust bowl would make your eyes not able to see,You could not breath it cause it could kill you. One hardship is that when you're outside the dust follows you everywhere you go and there is no where to go or move because your eyes won't be able to see the clear roads or path cause of the dust. When you have low iron, you get sicker easier, your hair falls out, and it'd be even harder to breathe through the dust.
Another obstacle would be how there wouldn't be any food due to the unreal amount of dust killing the animals and any crops that got past being a seed.

For instance, I would have to be locked up in my home! Nobody likes that. It's so bad because you would be bored, but it is safer considering that the air is so filthy, that you could DIE from it! That's crazy and very scary. Another problem I would face is that all of the dirt would get in your eyes, and even in your house! The crops that you have been working on for months, just gets abandoned and in gone with the dust! This would be a problem because everything is just blowing and blowing in your face. Something else that would be difficult is having to stay locked up in my own home. The fact that the air was so filthy and not only terrible for your lungs, would definitely make a huge impact on how I could walk and travel outside of my home! Also I would feel bad for my parents and family because everything we work really hard on was now vanished. We wouldn't have a lot of food. Not to mention, back in the olden days people would have a lot of kids, can you image how hungry they all could have been? And all the cattle would die from not having a full shelter that can keep them safe. Not to mention, the sand would sting your skin and ladys had to wear mainly dresses.
