The best book I read this last semester was Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone. I borrowed this book from the Stern twins (thank you!) and I could not put it down. The twists and characterizations made me gasp out loud and the depiction of mental health was realistic and true to life for people with OCD. I really enjoyed this realistic fiction book!

This is probably one of the best books I have ever read and it is usually hard to find books I like. Its about a girl figuring out who she is and what she wants to do. The descriptive words, the twists and turns, the romance, and the drama just lead the book. You didn't expect what happened to happen. I definitely recommend this book and the whole series.

My favorite book I read was The Art Of War By Sun Zhu. This book written between 421 BC and 221 BC. This old classic from China talks about military strategy but it can apply to any part of life. It was meant as a book to support the growth of certain ideas in military strategy but what makes it wonderful is that its ideas can be thought as differently and apply to things that are not only strategy It is very short and written in bullet points.

The best book I read was the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This book had me hanging on by the thread. I loved all the suspense and cliff hangers. Leaving my at the perfect spots to draw me in and make me want more. This book was full of adventure, romance, and truly finding yourself. But were they actually losing themselves instead? Not only was the first book to this series amazing but the rest of it is what kept me alive. Really making me be able to feel and experience the lives of Katniss and Peeta. This book truly deserves all the hype and I was grateful I picked it up off of the shelf. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who hasn't read it yet because this story is truly magnificent.

Dear Evan Hansen by Val Emmich is an incredible book! The author depicts high school life so perfectly and brings light to the fact that there is so much more to a person than what you see every day. The characters in this book evolve into new people by the end and watching the journey happen is so special. This book is full of suspense, joy, loss, and more. I enjoyed every second of this book and any reader will love it!

Arc of a Scythe! A series by Neal Shusterman. I always saw others reading this series and I thought I might as well read it (I also thought the cover was cool). It took me on an adventure through the time where mortality was conquered and there were scythes to keep population. It uses words that I've never seen and is a good entry into dystopian/sci-fi for me. I've never really liked them but when these came I got sucked in. It has multiple perspectives for the use of irony so that the reader knows something the characters don't and it kept me thinking because it even has mystery. All in all this is the best series I've read in semester 1.

I had never read this series before this quarter, so after many recommendations I finally read it.

The Twilight series is for sure my favorite book series. It's a very advanced book, and I enjoyed the challenge. The whole "vampire romance" concept is kind of trashy, but Stephenie Meyer makes up for this small flaw with her suspenseful writing. It was very action packed, and incorporated many different genres into one incredible book, including romance and fantasy. There is very descriptive wording as the author describes Bella and Edwards peculiar relationship, and the hardships they face. Please read its my favorite book and I hope you enjoy as much as I did thanks!!!!!!!

My favorite book was called Daughter of the Deep by Rick Riordan. I love how this book was based of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and The Mysterious Island and how it incorperated many details of those books. I read this book in one night because I had to know what happened next. The plot has many twists and turns as the main character finds the truth about her heritage and her school.
