         <description><![CDATA[<div>Lava lamps are a fun example of a chemical reaction that includes fizzing or effervescence.&nbsp; When oil and water are put in the same container and an alka-seltzer tablet is dropped in, a chemical reaction is created and a new gas is formed. We know this because fizzing is one of the main&nbsp; signs of chemical reaction when a new gas is created.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

When baking soda and vinegar are combined carbon dioxide is created. We know a chemical reaction occurs because fizzing takes place, signifying the gas has in fact been created.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

In this reaction amino acids and carbohydrates react. We know this occurs because of the dark color change that occurs in the food, and the distinct burnt aroma.</div>]]></description>
