My EP & L: This is an example of a solution. The app is free for download for anyone, which makes it accessible to everyone. You can use it to determine how enviromentally friendly the item of clothing you want to buy is, so it helps you create a better decision, and become more aware. You can select from 4 things, a jacket, a shoe, a handbag, and a ring. You can then also choose the material (cashmere, wool, cotton, etc.), as well as manufacturing origin.

The app will then analyse the item of clothing, looking at many different things, such as carbon emissions, water use, air pollution, etc. Which are then used to calculate the total environmental impacts

Alternative - unwanted clothes

There are many different ways you can get rid of clothes rather than just dumping them in a bin to go to a landfill which may end up in the water polluting both the land, sea and air.
You can:
1. Sell your clothes - second hand clothes which are in good conditions can sell for almost as much as the original price.
2. Donating to charity - is a great way to get rid of unwanted clothes while also doing a good deed.
3. Recycling - there are many businesses who take in unwanted clothes as they are able to reuse it to create items like bags, hats and so on.
4. Swapping and sharing - this is a really fun way of trying out news and different styles. Just get a friend, grab some clothes and swap. Super fun idea!

- I really like how you have researched and found out about different attempts at solving this issue
-As the CCP, I would agree to an eco fashion week because it os an idea which spreads awareness and it doesn't disturb anyone.
-As the CCP, I may not allow the organic textiles standard because it would reduce income and slow down the country's economy greatly.

- I think its good that you gave a variety of different solutions rather than just one, because if that one were to not work you have given other options. This is also good because it shows how with a little creativity the problem can be decreased easily.
- I think Eco Fashion week is a really good idea because it allows for awareness to be spread and helps offer more sustainable ways to the manufactures.
- I think spreading awareness is important however it could cause a very slow change, which with a problem with dramatic and disastrous, a more immediate and direct change is needed.
