We watched the unthinkable happen, live on tv. For so long, I always thought that America was invincible, but these attacks proved me wrong. Shortly after these attacks, my dad was deployed and would spend several years fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. We had no contact with him and were in a constant state of worry and stress.

I NEVER knew what I wanted to do growing up. I never felt good at anything. I felt out of touch with people my age and never felt a real purpose until Amelia was born. My son was born in 2018 - he is funny and curious and loves hugging. He challenges me as a mom and pushes me to be the best that I can be.
