-I was a high school at-risk history teacher for years

-I currently work as a librarian in a catholic high school

-I love to problem solve 

-I thrive on building community with those around me

-My goal is to be a college advisor

-I love sushi, smores and coffee, but not together

-camping with my family is my favorite past time

-I am a loud laugher..and I laugh often
-I enjoy celebrating the small stuff

I see Michael from my perch,

he wakes up in the morning

and forgets to do his research,

he’s too busy yawning

 

He pets me on his way out,

And my paws follow him along the floor

I’m not sure what his job is about

—getting college kids through the door?

 

I snuck out of the house this time,

He’s at an office, on the phone,

I see “Bryn Athyn” lit up in the daytime,

A boy enters the office—they’re barely grown

 

He advises the boy to take the core requirement,

The boy insists that he take others,

Oh my, how much time Michael spent,

His time as a student there still smolders

 

My little paws can’t keep up on the drive home,

But I catch him at a stoplight,

I jump up through the window that was open,

Surprised to see me, his eyes light up bright

 

We finally get home to see mom,

We snuggle on the couch and watch some TV,

Finally, everything is calm,

and we can watch some hockey.
