The photo below represents the fifth amendment in very simple terms. If you are being charged with an important and severe crime you must have a grand jury present in order to over look evidence. The people you see in the photo below is a grand jury. They will be present throughout every court session and follow attentively while overlooking the evidence that is present. Once all information has been processed and overlooked, they will then go off by themselves to decide whether the person is guilty or not guilty.

This photo represents no double jeopardy. It is in the fifth amendment that a person can't be tried twice for the same crime. Once found guilty or not guilty, the trial for that crime is over and can't be redone under any circumstances. In the photo below the judge states "how about we go best out of three trials?" which is obviously not allowed because the man is protected under the fifth amendment. This is important and protects citizens due to the fact that it makes punishment lowered so that you won't be punished multiple times for the same thing that you got punished for the first time.

This is very important because it provides fair treatment for citizens under protection of the government. Due process of law is a form of balance and a symbol of equality.
