Ferguson case questions whether the Separate Car Act violates the 14th amendment. The act required railway cars to separate white and black people. The court says that the law is constitutional. The case was established in 1896. Homer Plessy was selected by the Committee of Citizens to help repeal the act. Plessy refused to leave the "whites only" car so he got arrested.
