Many elderly around my area are doing these excerise in the morning in groups this is to help them with their hand movements or their body movement. By doing this in groups they are able to bond with one another and talks about their day to each other. Many things can be done to encourage these people. Firstly, pasting posters around the neighbourhood will inform them about the event. On the poster, there should be a list of health benefits to let the elderly know that these event will be useful to them. Another way is to put these events in all community centre on a fixed day and time to make it easier for the elderly to remember when the event is. The news can also inform the people watching that these events will be in all if not most community centres to allow the elderlys to be informed on when the event and where to will be held. Therefore, by pasting posters and informing them about teh ebnefits and broadcasting the benefits and the venue of where this would be held, this would encourage elderlys to participate in the event with the knowledge of the benefits of it

We could, firstly, have a group excercising sessions where they sit in a circle to do simple exercises led by an instructor, and have other volunteers around to help the old people in the exercise in the local community centre and entice them to come by having the volunteers go to homes on elderlies who live alone and talk to them about the session and how they can bond with other elderlies. Secondly, we can also include fun games, to get them to exercise like a simple obstacle course where they have to just walk to the finish line and avoid the chairs in the path, and have some volunteers help guide the elderlies across the path and help any who are unsure of what to do. Lastly, we can have volunteers to invite elderlies to the nearby exercise corners with the volunteers and other elderlies to exercise together at the exercise corners.

In my opinion, group fitness classes, walking clubs, or dance sessions organised by the neighbourhood community can be useful to help the elderly stay fit and active. For example, the neighbourhood community can organise a session for dance every Saturday, encouraging the elderly to come together and stay active and fit together. This not only helps the elderly to move around and get some exercise, this also allow the seniors there to interact and spend some time together .

This is because social engagement is equally important;

forming supportive groups or having buddy systems can reduce isolation and make physical activity a more enjoyable and sustainable part of daily life. By focusing on both physical and social aspects, the elderly are more likely to remain active and engaged. Hence, organising fitness sessions led by instructors can let the elderly stay fit and active as well as let them have the motivation to do it with their friends.

In my opinion, we can encourage old people to stay active by organising an event in the community centre which will give gift packs to elderly who participate. This method can be promoted by handing out flyers in the mailbox of the elderly who live in the nearby apartments. The elderly will feel more convinced to participate as they can obtain a gift pack which include things that they may want such as snacks and it will be easier to reach out to the elderly as most of them live by themselves after their children move out and they may not go out often due to physical conditions. For example, the community centre near my house know which apartment flats that have elderly residents, thus they would slip flyers for a fitness activity suited for seniors under their doors to make it less inconvenient for elderly to receive the flyer. Ultimately, the particularly lonely elders I knew that did not have any remaining family members living with them and rarely leave their homes went out to participate in the activity. This proves that these type of events appeal to seniors and thus will convince them to be more active.

In my opinion, I think the government can play a part in encouraging old people to stay fit by providing accessible and convenient fitness equipment.

This is because it allows the elderly to easier access and use these fitness equipment, thus allowing it to be easier to integrate staying active in their life. These points make staying active and fit more appealing to the elderly, thus encouraging them to stay fit.

In my experience, I have seen some elderly from the Social and Economic Contingent in the National Day Parade get a resistance bands, a form of equipment, from National Day packs distributed to all participants. Additionally, I have also seen many elderly use the fitness corner equipment downstairs.

In conclusion, this is a very effective form of encouragement and I believe it is good to use.

Firstly, the elderly can be encouraged to take part in mass group exercises as it will instill a sense of community and will help increase their physical activity. This is a positive way of encouraging them to be active as they can get to meet their friends and engage in physical activities at the same time and it will be helpful for their social and physical development. In my neighborhood for instance, some of the elderly take part in activities called ‘Zumba’ where they warm-up and dance to their favorite songs and it surely helps them. The elderly are always seen with a smile on their face when doing the exercise and get a chance to express their exuberance and it lets them have some enjoyable social time with their friends and some good time to develop their body and make it stronger.

In my opinion, maintaining an active lifestyle is important for everyone as, it truly becomes essential as we age. Firstly, one of the best ways to encourage elderly people to stay active is to promote low impact activities that are easy on their joints. This could include things like walking , light swimming, or even simple stretching routines. It’s important to let them know that excercise doesn’t have to be strenuous to be effective.

In my opinion, I believe that leading an active lifestyle is paramount for elderly. Thus I recommend that community centres should host many fun and engaging workout sessions which are hosted by professionals. The community centres can promote these activities through flyers or posters around the neighbourhood, where the elderly would be encouraged to go for these fun sessions where they can meet up with other elderly in the community and have a good workout together. I, personally, have seen many posters promoting these exciting activities pasted around every corner. My own grandparents have gone for these sessions, and they are seen more happy and more motivated to workout more often now, compared to before they discovered these workout sessions. The elderly can participate in dance and workouts weekly that can most definitely promote a healthy lifestyle for them. Community centres can even add prizes for elderly to have done the best in the workouts or dances as an incentive to encourage even more elderly to participate. All in all, I strongly believe the community can play a huge part in encouraging healthy living and active lifestyles for the elderly, and I am certain that this proposed point can definitely fulfil this.

In my opinion, having non-strenuous community activities such as dancing or chair yoga encourages the elderly to stay active. These activities should be near the residential areas of the elderly.

This is because the elderly tend to have physical issues, such as osteoporosis, so they usually cannot take part in strenuous activities or travel long distances. Furthermore, some live alone so having community activities would encourage them to be more active as they can make friends and meet up with them for the activity.

For example, in my neighbourhood, there is a group of female line dancers which comprise mainly of elderly which takes place in my void deck. They meet up weekly to dance together. They are all quite close and have fun dancing while staying healthy. In my neighbourhood there is also a walking club for mainly the elderly. They meet up on weekends to have walks around the neighbourhood. The club has expanded a lot and has a lot of members. They even got their own shirts. They enjoy each other’s company while exercising.

All in all, having attractive activities that are accessible and non-strenuous encourage the elderly to be more active.

In my opinion, one thing that can be don’t to encourage old people to stay fit and active is to organise more activities in the community centres.

E: since elderlies mostly do not have strong muscles, they would not be able to travel further distances to carry out activities. Therefore, it would be much easier if the activities are closer to their homes. Furthermore, they would probably be aware of these activities from the community centre as they would be familiar with their neighbourhoods. Elderlies generally live alone which they may find to be lonely and feel depressed. Whilst the community centre is a good area of different elderlies to get together, they can also work out at the same time, building healthy bodies and forging stronger friendships at the same time.

Ex: for example, around my friend’s neighbourhood, there is a group of lion dancers, of all ages, but mostly comprising of elderlies. They get together twice a week to dance together and beaver fun with each other. I think this is a good way for people, especially elderlies to stay fit because the exercises are not too strenuous, and the members of the group get along well. This small group itself can ensure the well-being of seniors, tending to their physical and emotional well-being by allowing them to moves their bodies, at the same time meeting social needs.

L: therefore, I find activities in community centres a good way for elderlies to stay fit and active.

In my neighbourhood for instance, I know of a few elderly people who spend time exercising at the fitness corner downstairs. They usually come down around 7am in the morning or they would come down at 6am in the evening. My neighbourhood’s fitness corner is very elderly friendly as the machines will provide information on how to use them. These can help the elderly who don’t have knowledge on how to exercise, have some information to use the machine so that they do not hurt themselves. The machines are made of strong materials to make sure it is stable and firm. The machines also have foam grip wrapped around to ensure that there is friction and cushioning for the elderly. Many young people from volunteering community help to guide the elderly with the exercise and exercise alongside them as well. They give out free water bottles to them to drink so that they do not get thirsty and will continue to stay hydrated through the exercises, keeping them safe from over exhaustion and thirst as they are very vulnerable to these.

I personally feel that we should provide fitness sessions at community centres on the weekends as this is a place where most elderly spend time with their neighbours and friends. The usually indulge in board games and reading sessions at community centres. By providing these fitness sessions at a place where they normally hang out with their peers, they are more likely to know about it and are may also are partake in this programmes .Moreover,if they get to know about it,i am certain that they will also inform their friends about and may come together with their friend groups to indulge in this together. On top of that,we can also create posters instead of posting it online as most elderly people do not know how to do things that seem basic to us such as creating a gmail account.Through the posters which will be pasted around the neighbourhood,we can promote the benefits of exercising and fitness programmes .The elderly will also be able to get to know others better and also improve their overall mental and physical health.Making the fitness programmes completely free or giving senior discount may also encourage the elderly to participate in this activity who may not be financially independent .

After the walk, they can have breakfast in the neighbourhood and have their breakfast .The elderly will also be able to bond with their fellow peers and strengthen and develop into a fostering community. In my experience, the management committee in my condominium have organised many activities for the elderly such as Zumba and yoga. They would call instructors into our condo to do these activities on a weekly basis. They would put up posters near the lifts throughout the condo to encourage elderly’s and the community to join. The elderly would also be able to make new friends and have a stronger bond, hence they would be more encouraged to attend these type of activities, hence encouraging them to be more active and fit

Firstly, I think one good method to encourage old people to stay fit and active is allowing them to sign up for community activities that incorporate active and healthy living into them. This way, the elderlies are able to connect socially with the other seniors taking part, strengthen friendships and most importantly, learning how to stay active whilst having fun. For example, one good example of an activity like this is a community hiking event where seniors go hike. Hiking is not only a great way to stay active, they will also be able to talk along the way to the top of the mountain or hill. This way, they will be able to exercise their bodies, interact with others like them, have fun and maybe enjoy a beautiful view at the top of the hiking trail. There are more activities like cycling and boating where seniors enjoy the same benefits. In addition, they can also pick up the activities as hobbies. In conclusion, I believe one wonderful way to encourage active living amongst the elderlies is organising community activities for them to sign up for.

Live performances teach people a lot of cool stuff. For one, they show how powerful emotions can be when expressed through music, acting, or dancing, making us feel more connected to others. They also remind us to be present and really pay attention, which is something we might not always do in our busy lives. Watching a live show can make us appreciate all the hard work and creativity that goes into making art. Plus, they give us a peek into different cultures and stories, helping us understand and respect diversity. Being part of an audience also shows us how shared experiences can bring people together. Finally, seeing performers handle unexpected surprises teaches us about being adaptable and thinking on our feet.

To get older people to stay fit and active, we should make exercise fun and social. Find activities they like, like walking, dancing, or gardening, and make sure they do it with friends or in a group. It's also super important to keep things safe and pick exercises that are right for their health. Setting small goals and celebrating their achievements can keep them motivated, and using cool apps or tech to track progress might make it more interesting. Family can help by joining in or just encouraging them, and making sure they know how good staying active is for their health can be a big boost too!

In my opinion, we can encourage old people to stay fit and active by educating them of benefits of exercising before following up by engaging them by organising with fun group activities such as a weekly yoga.

Firstly, I believed that it is important to educate the elderly on the benefits of exercising and how it negates health risks such as obesity. The raise of awareness of potential health risk would bring concern for the elderly about their health, thus encouraging to stay fit and healthy.

Then, by organising group activities which would encourage them to make friends within the community which further encourages them to make goals to stay fit together while having a similar discussion every week.

For example, my grandmother is not someone who is very active and rarely exercise which resulted her legs muscles to be weak and frail. After being educated of benefits of exercising, she joined a community centre yoga class for elderly through a poster on the notice board on the void deck. In the yoga class, she made like-minded friends with similar goals and interest, this gave her motivation to continue the classes and eventually through continuous weeks of working out, she started to become more fit and healthier.

In conclusion, I believed if the necessary actions are done and the elderly can make the change to follow and further doing their part by sharing with their friends, motivating one another to stay fit, an all fit elderly community can be achieve.

What do you think people can learn from live performances?

In my opinion, live performances offer a profound and immersive experience that can teach people much about artistry and connection. For me, being physically present allows audiences to feel the emotional intensity and spontaneity of the performance, creating a unique bond between the performers and the audience. Witnessing the performance in real time can deepen one’s appreciation for the craft, while the experience fosters a sense of community and shared excitement. I remember the time when I was 9 years old and my primary school brought us to a theatre to watch a live drama performance. It was a learning journey for the Primary 3 Chinese students. I remember being so excited when the performance started and as the performance went on, I felt like I was really connected to the play and the performers because of how well they acted. They made me feel like I was part of the play too! Watching with my friends made it even more fun, we could laugh together during funny moments and be excited together during intense moments. I’m proud to actually say that I have gotten closer with a few of my friends. Even after watching the play, my mind was still pondering over the number of questions and interests I had related to the play. When I got the chance to go backstage and meet the performers, I eagerly asked my questions and got satisfied answers. hence it shows the effect that live performances had on me to find out more about the play and I even learned a thing or two.

In order to encourage the elderly to live at healthy lifestyle and stay active, the elderly should go for excercises that are gentle and safe on their joints, such as walking, swimming or yoga. These activities help maintain their strength, flexibility and Balance, which reduces the risk of falls and keeps their body strong. We can can also create social opportunities such as group activities like walking clubs and community excercsing classes. This not only keeps them active but also helps them make friends and stay socially or cyberly connected. Being around others can motivtsyte them to stay consistent with their fitness routine. Aside from that, we can take the responsibility to also involve our own family and friends to help our dear elder lies to go fit. Family members can supppiurt and encourage the elderly to stay fit by participating in physical activities together, like going for walks or doing simple exercises at home. This also helps strengthen family bonds and makes staying fit more enjoyable. Adding on to my current speech, making sure that our seniors or elderly are healthy , we could also mentally motivate them. They might be stuck in the house doing especially nothing nothing, which can lead them to get into depression. lol there’s my points

I feel that one of the more prominent methods would be neighbouring community centers. community centers immediately come to mind as almost every senior citizen I’ve interacted with tell me about their weekly routines and activities held at community centers of the neighbourhood. My grandmother tells me about the atypical activities they hold there. This includes different variations of ball games or modified exercise workout routines but with a fun and challenging test suitable for senior citizens. My grandmother tells me about how she takes taichi classes at the nearby running track with other fellow seniors. Due to this, she has developed a habit of stretching or running every morning and even invites my grandfather and I to accompany her. I think this method is the most inviting and beginner friendly to encourage senior citizens to stay fit and active. They can bond with the other seniors of their neighbourhood and exercise together, creating a healthy and active lifestyle for everyone. I’m aware of the rising issue in singapore of seniors facing depression due to loneliness when cooped up at home, this is also a great opportunity for them to get up and get out to start leading a fruitful life.

In my opinion, people learn to better appreciate the arts and efforts it takes in order to bring the things like songs to the audience. Live performances offer a more immersive experience when compared to other forms of presenting the performance such as online videos, thus the immersion allows the audience to better understand the message conveyed or to better enjoy. For example, a friend of mine could not understand my appreciation of theatre when I told her about it,until I convinced her to attend one with me as a way to spend time together. Afterwards, she managed to grasp the message of the play and understood the feelings and actions of the characters, gaining a deeper understanding of them then she had before even after watching a recording online of the play. She better understood the play due to the immersive experience and thus better empathised. In conclusion, people can better appreciate things when they are performed live and gain important messages or experiences from these live performances.

In order to encourage the elderly to stay fit and active, I have a few ideas that can be used in my opinion. Firstly, I think that the government can provide accessible fitness programs. Community centres can offer free or low-cost fitness programmes specially designed for older people, such as tai chi, yoga, or gentle stretching exercises. This makes it easier for the elderly to stay active as they do not have to sign up for more vigorous activities that they may not be able to do such as zumba. Another way to encourage the elderly is to promote social exercise groups so that the elderly can be more motivated as they might not like to exercise by themselves. It also provides an opportunity for the elderly to bond and hang out, which could improve livelihood among the community. To add on, I think that it is good to ensure the safety by making sure that the place is well-lit and safe so that when the elderly are exercising so that they feel safe and comfortable when working out, and make sure that there will be no injuries. Lastly, I think that the elderly can be educated on the importance and benefits of doing physical activity, such as letting them know that it will help with their physical and mental health. Overall, I think that it is important that the elderly feel comfortable with doing physical exercise and hence live a healthy lifestyle.

Live performances allow spectators to view exquisite performances up close. These could be street performances where people could be inspired many new musical skills that they never thought they liked before. This spark of inspiration would help jumpstart other people’s musical careers and give them motivation to someday host their own performances on the stage. Not only that, but majority of live performances on stage have extremely long queues. Thus, people have to practice patience to wait for their turn without leaving half way, sometimes even in the blazing merciless sun. Furthermore, people also learn honesty, and not try to scam others using fake tickets. All in all, people can learn many new skills and knowledge through the experience of experiencing live performances.

I believe that government can organise Zumba exercises at community centres to encourage elderlies to stay fit and active. Instructor can play songs that are familiar to elderlies to furthermore encourage them to join this activity. This way not only can elderlies lead an active lifestyle they can also connect and forge friendships with other elderlies participating in the same exercise which could be the elderlies motivation to join this activity since most of them live alone. For example , there is a community centre near my block that often held Zumbas . I always can hear some pop or chinese songs on Friday nights. From my block I can see a moderately large amount of elderlies doing exercises like stretching and some simple dance moves. Every week I hear the instructor play different songs probably because of variety and elderlies would not get bored due to repetitive music instead look forward to this activity. Therefore , in my opinion , a way to encourage elderlies to stay fit and active is to organise Zumba classes in community centres

In my opinion, several stakeholders learn a lot from live performances.

For one, performers can learn to perform and improvise in front of a large audience if mistakes happen. They can learn to just go with the flow instead of freezing up. As the saying goes, the show must go on. They can learn from their mistakes during a performance and emerge stronger for their next performance. They can learn about how much effort goes into just one show or concert and appreciate the performances of other people. For example, my CCA(Chinese Orchestra), performed for our school’s Diamond Jubilee performance. I learnt a lot about how much effort goes into the practise sessions, rehearsals and the actual performance and that there are a lot of people who work behind the scene to ensure that the concert runs smoothly. I also learnt how to improvise if I make a mistake while performing. This skill of improvisation can also help us be confident outside of performing, like while public speaking, in an interview or even during a presentation to our superiors.

It can also help people to get over their fear of performing in front of large crowds. When I was in kindergarten while giving a presentation, I froze up and not know what to say although my script was in my hand. By practising and gaining more experience and exposure to performing live in front of large crowds, I eventually got over my fear and gained more self confidence which has certainly benefited me.

Overall, live performances can certainly teach people to be more confident learn the valuable skill of improvisation, which are certainly useful, even when we start working.

For example, providing information on nutrition, stress management, or cognitive exercises can offer a comprehensive approach to wellness. Hosting themed events or celebrating achievements within these classes can also make the experience more engaging and enjoyable. By combining physical activity, social interaction, and educational content, we can effectively encourage older adults to stay fit, active, and engaged in their lives.

In my opinion, I believe that old people should stay fit and active, so that they can maintain a healthy lifestyle. From my personal experience, I have seen elderly people within my neighbourhood doing Tai Chi at open spaces in the early hours of the morning. They usually conduct these sessions in groups of five to six people, and perform movements that are synchronised with the rhythm of the music they play in the background. This is a simple way for elderly people to stay fit. In another instance, I regularly see an elderly couple jogging while commuting to school. Jogging has been proven to strengthen muscles and bones, which can help prevent senior citizens from suffering from osteoporosis and injuries. This is not only keeps them fit, but also builds their resistance against health problems. One experience that was significant to me was when I was playing soccer with my friends, and a fit-looking elderly man approached us and requested to play with us. He was extremely skilled and nimble with his movements, and showed little to no signs of fatigue. From this, it is evident that the elderly can still benefit from sports, especially if they start earlier. This can greatly improve their hand-eye coordination, their reaction time, and their mental well-being, while helping them keep active. From all this information, one way to effectively engage the elderly in physical activities is by encouraging them to participate in community events that include some form of exercise. To encourage seniors to engage in the activities, they should join the event along with friends and family, boosting their morale and increasing the amount of physical activity they do. Another way is by offering tailored exercise classes, such as gentle yoga or water aerobics, specifically designed for older adults can provide both physical benefits and social interaction in a supportive environment. Additionally, creating community walking groups or senior fitness challenges can foster a sense of camaraderie and motivation. These activities not only promote physical activity but also help combat social isolation by encouraging social engagement. In summary, by providing structured, enjoyable, and socially enriching opportunities, we can help elderly individuals remain active, healthy, and connected.

In my opinion, I think exercise programmes can be offered to old people. This will encourage seniors to exercise and stay active together with their friends. For example, my grandmother likes to attend easy dance classes and do chair exercises with her friends who live near in neighbourhood. They go to these classes often to stay fit, and so they can catch up with each other. Even if there are no available classes, my grandmother would still walk around the garden near our house. This shows that the programme made her more active and fit.

I also think that easy exercises can be shown on television for easy access for the elderly. For example, my grandfather doesn’t like going out of the house, but enjoys watching television. Sometimes I see him watching a channel where there are 3 people displaying low impact exercises. I think is is easy to follow for seniors who dislike crowded areas or simply done like going out, like my grandfather. Although following a few exercises doesn’t sound like much, it can still help with old people keeping active.

Live performances can benefit us in many different ways, especially in the perspective of a performer.

Firstly, they can learn to improvise and practice impromptu speaking. This is because many things may happen as the performance goes on, be it the moving on to another section of a performance, or an accident happening, speaking in an impromptu manner is a skill for many to master because the show must always go on and put on a good show for the audiences. Outside of performances, this skill can also be very important, such as in your future jobs or events that you are not able to control happens, the skill gives us the knowledge and assurance to know what we should in these cases to remain calm and confident at the same time. One instance when I witnessed impromptu speaking was during the 2022 NDP parade this was when a red lion’s member was parachuting down on the platform and he unfortunately did not stick his landing well and got injured. After the parade, I had watched a YouTube video about an interview on the emcee. The emcee said that at that point of time, he felt shocked and panicky, but still had to make the show go on. He had to master his courage and encourage the crowd to move on after the incident. The emcee eventually succeeded in cheering up the crowd and bringing their spirits up. A very important skill of impromptu speaking was demonstrated by the emcee. From that instance, I learnt that improvisation and impromptu speaking was a very important skill to have.

Secondly, you can also learn to perform well under pressure. Practice always makes perfection. The more your live perform, the more you would learn from your different experience especially under a big crowd where many pairs of eyes are staring at you giving you the chills down your spine. This skill is important as to ensure that in future occurrences, you can do well and showcase your skills. For example, when I was in Primary Two, it was my first time doing mother tongue oral. As a primary two student having to speak to a stranger, was a very intimidating thing to me. Unfortunately for me, I could not think of anything during the exam and had a blank out. I ended up breaking down in front of my examiner, paired with minimal marks. From that experience, I learned that being able to process under pressure is very important for oral exams. This would also impact our work life in the future as it determines the results of our job interviews and our ability to present information to our superiors or clients, impacting our promotion chances.

All in all, live performances play a big role in out lives, and provide us with many skills (as a performer), which would eventually impact us in the future.

Live performances allow spectators to view exquisite performances up close. These could be street performances where people could be inspired many new musical skills that they never thought they liked before. This spark of inspiration would help jumpstart other people’s musical careers and give them motivation to someday host their own performances on the stage. Back when I was 13, I saw many live street performances online. Seeing the band play many exciting songs adeptly one after the other, I was motivated to start my own band, and created a School SIL based on this, and managed to inspire the rest of my classmates to play musical instruments as well. Not only that, but majority of live performances on stage have extremely long queues. Thus, people have to practice patience to wait for their turn without leaving half way, sometimes even in the blazing merciless sun. Furthermore, people also learn vigilance and not try to scam others using fake tickets for the performances. My sister got tricked into payed a few hundred less for a ticket to an extremely popular performance. However she did not check with the seller thoroughly and thus was rejected from entering the performance due to a fake ticket. All in all, people can learn many new skills and knowledge through the experience of experiencing live performances.

In my opinion, people learn a great deal from live performances, as they offer unique and impactful experiences that are distinct from recorded media. For example, attending a live concert allows individuals to experience the immediate energy and emotional intensity of the performance, which fosters a deeper connection with the artist and their work. Additionally, live performances provide an opportunity to appreciate the skill and craftsmanship of the performers up close, whether it’s the technical precision of a musician or the intricate movements of a dancer. These experiences help audiences gain a greater understanding of the artistry involved and can enhance their overall appreciation for the craft. In essence, live performances serve as a powerful medium for learning and engagement, enriching both the emotional and intellectual experiences of those who participate.

Opinion (1st Para): Through a live performance, the audience are able to appreciate music better, and enjoy its benefits.

Explanation: I believe that the quality of music, especially classical, is always much better heard live. The audience is unconsciously training their ear to hear the many different instruments, thus, gaining the ability to identify each instrument’s sound. Through a more immersive experience, it allows you to connect with the music better. Other than that, the audience around you allow you to join in on their energy and enthusiasm to the concert, this deepens connection to like-minded people around you. Live performances can bring you energy, joy and peace as they are forms of art. The different forms of art can slowly shape a person’s personality, and teach you values of patience and understanding. It is much easier to benefit and learn these forms of art live.

Evidence: For example, I remember attending a concert before, and I was actually sitting almost behind the performers, and also to the side of the stage. The sound from my angle compared to someone sitting directly in front was obviously different. I heard some parts louder than others, and it allowed me to easier differentiate the instruments sounds. Thus, it allowed me to understand these instruments part in the music. In my opinion, it is definitely much better to experience such music live than through a screen, as the music flowing around you is so much more different. A much more immersive experience brings more interest and understanding of the art in the performance.

Link: Thus, live performances can bring audiences through immersive experiences, thus better understanding the art inside and reap the benefits of it.

Opinion (2nd Para): I think that performers can also benefit from a live performance as it allows them to train the ability to perform under pressure.

Explanation: Live performances train the reflexes and the body’s ability to perform under the pressure from the audience watching. To learn to combat nervousness from this can be hard, but the experience of a live performance can train this. It is definitely a skill that can be applicable to many other instances as well, such as job interviews.

Evidence: For instance, a skilled performer may not feel nervous anymore during live performances as they have went through it many times before. Thus, they have gained the skill and ability to not crumble under immense pressure. This can benefit during face-to-face interactions with higher-ups like bosses, international figures, job interviews and more. A student performer may not be nervous during oral examinations due to their ability to cope with this nervousness.

Link: Therefore, I believe that live performances hone a person’s ability to not crumble under pressure, which allows them to display themselves to the fullest of their abilities.

In my opinion, one thing that can be done to encourage old people to stay fit and active is by organising exercise activities at their nearby community centres. I mentioned this because most elderly would stop having an active lifestyle after growing older as they have become weaker and their muscles may be converting into fats. Having daily activities near their home would encourage them and motivate them to participate actively as other elderly people would be joining to. Additionally, elderly also may feel lonely in their homes as they may be living alone. By going to the community centre to Participate in activities, they can improve their social skills and their overall well-being will improve. Firstly, The community centre can place posters, give out flyers or place up advertisements on social media’s to first get the elderly attention. The activity can be dancing, simple stretching exercises or simple exercises that keeps the body warm and heart beating. The exercises should not be too strenuous so that the elderly do not exert themselves. Walking to the community centre is also a form of exercise as they are moving their body. In conclusion, I find exercise activities a good initiate to encourage the old people to stay fit and active.

As the audience, Many people can learn from live performances, they would be able to socialise, make friends and connect with other by using the performance as a talking point, this way people can form new relationships with new people who share common hobbies and strengthen existing bonds if they followed their friends to the performance. For example, I have recently went for a Chinese orchestra concert where all the Chinese instruments would play together harmoniously allowing people to learn and listen to the beauty of Chinese music. As a performer, they will learn how to overcome fears such as sitting in front of large crowds and being confident enough for the event. Being a performer is really difficult as they have to train day and night just to be fully prepared and confident. For example, I have recently participated in a school event called diamond jubilee concert, which is an event that is being performed in a concert hall, this event allows alumni’s and current students to watch for an affordable fare with many different Cca performing for the show. From that event, performing live made me learn that I need confidence, a lot of hardwork and resilient when practising for the live show.

From my perspective, live performances teaches people to appreciate the concept and music behind the performance. Being in a live performance is much more realistic than usually watching online, while being present in one, it changes the whole atmosphere and perspective of the audience watching. They would be intrigued by the vocals and instruments played, as it sounds extremely real and interesting. The general public can also bond together and their social can improve as live performances bring people together, they get to discuss a topic present in front of them, bringing the bond closer for people. For example, someone who usually always have been watching online about a performance has recently gone to a live performance to witness the creation itself. He or she would definitely feel a different feeling and atmosphere as they are hearing the music and audio with their bare ears and feels like the audio is playing around a speaker surround system. They would appreciate the music more and get to feel the feeling of being in the Live performance, they may also be more interested in music. Therefore, live performances does have a very powerful impact on someone as it feels like they are in a whole different universe.
