He was shot with a rifle that was believed to have belonged to Grant. His body was found by 4 teen suspects being Henry, Shep, Logan, and John Michael. One of the boys had noticed that the position of Grant’s death indicates that he had been shot with the Remington 700 XCR II  found with Grant’s body. One of the boys had claimed to be too shocked, another boy said to have cried, eventually ending with the 4 teen boys arguing and threatening one another.
