population who were peasant
farmers. They would work in

treaty of Versailles so he could

1939 Hitler struck and started
his invasion of Poland

6. After conquering Poland
focused of deaf eating Britain
and France and the rest of
Europe from 1939-45.
7. In the process of this they
found themselves making allies
with multiple countries like
Italy and Japan.
8. In the middle of this the Nazis
broke its Nonaggression pact
with the Soviet Union and
launched a HUGE invasion of
the Soviet Union(blitzkrieg)
9. After the US entered the war in
1941 the Nazis found
themselves fighting in places
like North Africa, Italy, France,
the balkans and defending
against a counterattacking
Soviet Union. After fighting for
domination they were
eventually starting to fight to
exist
10. Before starting their invasions
Hitler and the Nazis were
banning and killing hundreds
of thousands of Jews. It got
much worse when they started
their invasions. Polish Jews
resourced to hiding in ghettos
and if caught were put into
concentration camps. Most
Jews that we aren't caught
were dying of starvation.
11. Even while invading the Soviet
Union they killed tons of Jews
in western regions of Soviet

Atlantic Treaty was signed, that

2. When founded NATO
consisted of 12 countries:
Belgium, Canada, Denmark, the
US, France, Iceland, Italy,
Luxembourg, the Netherlands,
Norway, Portugal, and the
United Kingdom. Now there
are a total of 30 countries in
Nato. Some notable countries
to join later on were Germany,
Spain, Turkey, Sweden, Poland,
Greece and many more.
Together NATO is an
EXTREMELY strong army when
together
3. NATO was created for 3 main
reasons. Deterring Soviet
expansion, forbidding the
revival of nationalist militarism
in Europe, and encouraging
European political integration
This has worked very well and
is even working now as Russia
is staying away from NATO
protected countries as they do
not want to wage war with
NATO. As in the treaty it states,
"'an armed attack against one
or more of them... shall be
considered an attack against
all"
4. After the fall of the Soviet
Union there was the question
going around if NATO was even
needed. They eventually kept
NATO with some changes but
nothing to major
5. NATO still stands today
stronger than ever continuing to
do its job and help and protect
each other whenever needed
6. While the Roman Empire and
NATO might be complete opposites
NATO wouldn't exist without the
Roman Empire, NATO took what
was happening at the time and
what happened with Rome and
previous empires and created
something that would've stopped
threats like the Roman Empire and
