2. Much of South Africa is so segregated because of the color of your skin. If your colored and Native you lived in one area, and if you are white you live in this area. It was like this that back then colored people had to have passbook that said what jobs you could have. This all dates back to when the British ruled, and there was mainly roadway route in the middle, but they put colored people in areas separate of where the railroad was.
