The Battle of Ticonderoga is the battle that most impacted the Revolutionary War. With the taking of the fort, they were able to get heavy artillery and supplies that they desperately needed. It allowed Colonel Henry Knox (Washington's Chief of Artillery) to have a great strategic position to force the British out of Boston, and supplied an important trade route with Canada. The advantage of heavy artillery gave them an advantage and a turning point to which they needed to beat the British, especially in their area.
