         <description><![CDATA[<div>Las <strong>yes/no questions</strong> son las que se pueden contestar con un "sí" o un "no". Para ponerlas en estilo indirecto se emplea el verbo <strong>ask</strong>, y acontinuación <strong>if o wether.<br></strong>"Will you attend the lecture?" Ryan asked.<br>Ryan <strong>asked if/wether/ would attend </strong>the lecture.<br>(Ryan me preguntó si iría a la conferencia).<br><br>Las<strong> Wh-questions </strong>no se pueden contestar con un "sí" o un "no". Son las que comienzan con una partícula interrogativa (<strong>what,  who, where, when, why, whose, how, how long,</strong> etc.). Al pasarlas al estilo indirecto ponemos dicha partícula en lugar de <strong>if </strong>o <strong>wether</strong>. Luego van el sujeto y el verbo, y se prescinde del signo de interrogación y de las comillas.<br>"When did you finish correcting the exams?" he asked.<br>He asked <strong>when/ had finished</strong> correcting the exams.<br>(Me preguntó cuándo había terminado de corregir los exámenes).<br><br></div>]]></description>

Pero antes del infinitivo se usa un verbo que exprese mandato, como <strong>tell </strong>u <strong>order</strong>, seguido del complemento indirecto. Suelen acompañarse de adverbios y expresiones de tiempo.<br>Emma<strong> used to</strong> have after-school activities every day.<br>(Emma solía tener/tenía actividades extraescolares todos los días)<br><strong>Used to</strong> también se usa para hablar de estados y situaciones pasadas. <strong>Would</strong> no puede emplearse en estos casos.<br>I<strong> used to</strong> go to this school. (Yo iba a este colegio)<br><strong>Used to </strong>no tiene forma de presente. En negativa e interrogativa requiere el auxiliar <strong>did </strong>y en ambos casos pierde la <strong>d</strong>.<br><strong>Did </strong>you<strong> use to </strong>have extra English lessons?<br>(¿Tú solías recibir clases extra de inglés?)<br><br>Be used to significa "estar acostumbrado a", mientras que get used to se refiere al proceso de acostumbrarse. En ambos casos va seguido de un sustantivo o un gerundio detrás de to.<br>Estas dos estructuras son muy diferentes de la forma verbal used to, pues en ellas used no es un verbo,. sino un adjetivo.<br>Los verbos que acompañan a used son be y get, los cuales se pueden conjugar.<br>He is used to his old car.<br>(Está acostumbrado a su antiguo coche.)<br>They are used to getting up late<br>(Están acostumbrados a levantarse tarde)<br>She is getting used to her new job.<br>(Se está acostumbrando a su nuevo trabajo)<br><br></div>]]></description>
