         <description><![CDATA[<p>Age: 0-4 months</p><p>Milestone: look towards direction of sound</p><p>Goal to achieve: baby turns their head to look at the sound</p><p>Explanation: I will shake a rattle next to babies head, changing the side&nbsp;</p><p>EYLF: LO4 children are confident and involved learners, 4.2 Children develop a range of learning and thinking skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating. This is evident when: use their senses to play, explore and try new things.</p><p><br>LO3 children have a strong sense of wellbeing, children become strong in their physical learning and wellbeing</p><p><br/></p><p>4-8 months</p><p>Milestone: will search for partly hidden object</p><p>Goal to achieve: baby looks around for object i have hidden</p><p>Explanation: i will have a toy that the baby likes and i will hide it under a blanket in front of them and allow them to use their senses to find the toy. I will then move the toy under another blanket and will observe to see if the baby is still looking for it</p><p>EYLF: LO4 children and confident and involved learners, 4.2 &nbsp;Children develop a range of learning and thinking skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating</p><p><br/></p><p>1-2 years</p><p>Milestone: points to body parts in a game</p><p>Goal to achieve: baby can point to their body parts</p><p>Explanation: i will name a body part and point to it on myself and ask baby “where is your chin?” and encourage them to point to their chin. I will do this with multiple body parts&nbsp;</p><p>EYLF: LO4 children are confident and involved learners, 4.1 Children develop a growth mindset and learning dispositions such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination and reflexivity. this is evident when: children participate in a variety of rich and meaningful inquiry-based experiences</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>4-8 months</p><p>Developmental milestone: Swipe at dangling objects.<br>Goal to achieve: For babies to show interest in and be able to/attempt to swipe at dangling objects.<br>Explanation: I will lay out a soft mat with hanging toys dangling above, I will point at each individual toy, naming what it is and then giving it a gentle push to make it softly dangle above the child asking them “Would you like to have a go at swiping at it?”.<br>EYLF: LO4 (4.1 and 4.2) Children are curious and persistent learners and are develop a wide array of skills.<br><br>8-12 months<br>Developmental milestone: Smiles at image in mirror.<br>Goal to achieve: For babies to smile at their reflection when looking into a mirror.<br>Explanation: I will place a small mirror in the play corner, encouraging babies to make their way over with the use of colourful toys. Once at the mirror, I will point at it and exclaim “WOW! Who is it that I can see in the mirror? It’s you!!” whilst also encouraging for them to look at it themselves.<br>EYLF: LO1 1.2: Children develop their emerging autonomy.<br>LO4 4.1: Children develop their sense of curiosity.<br><br>1-2 years<br>Developmental milestone: Stacks and knocks over items.<br>Goal to achieve: For children to be able to stack many items on top of each other and then knock them over, questioning the reason how objects stack and why they fall.<br>Explanation: I will set out a wide array of sized and coloured wooden blocks for children to be able to stack on top of each other, going over to them and encouraging them to stack it as high as they can by saying “It’s getting taller!! How high do you think you can make it?”, subsequently having them knock their block stack over whilst encouraging them to question themselves and why items fall over.<br>EYLF: LO1 1.2: Children develop their emerging resilience (Not being upset by their block tower falling over)<br>LO4 4.1 Children develop dispositions for learning such as curiosity and persistence.<br>4.2 Children develop a range of skills and processes such as problem-solving, inquiry, and experimentation.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Developmental Milestone - Reach for and grasp objects, using one hand to grasp</p><p>Goal to achieve - Show developing hand-eye coordination and fine motor control </p><p>Explanation - By reaching and grasping objects with one hand, the child practices using their eyes and hands together which strengthens the hands and fingers building their skills.</p><p>Learning Outcomes - Outcome 3 - Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.  </p><p>3.2 - Children become strong in their physical learning and mental wellbeing. </p><p><strong>8-12 Months </strong></p><p>Developmental Milestone - Likes playing with water. </p><p>Goal to achieve - Enhance sensory development and fine mother skills through supervised water play activities. </p><p>Explanation - playing with water is a key sensory activity that helps develop a child’s fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination. By encouraging water play you can support children’s natural curiosity and provide opportunities to explore. </p><p>Learning outcomes - Outcome 3 - Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.  </p><p>3.2 - Children become strong in their physical learning and mental wellbeing. </p><p><strong>1-2 Years </strong></p><p>Developmental Milestone - Stacks and knocks over items. </p><p>Goal to achieve - Enhance fine motor skills, Understand cause and effect, Build cognitive problem-solving abilities and Encourage exploration and curiosity. </p><p>Explanation - By stacking objects, children develop precision and control of small hand movements. They also begin to understand how objects balance, which supports their spatial awareness. Additionally, knocking over the tower helps children have a sense of control and helps them understand their environment. </p><p>Learning outcomes - Outcome 4 - Children are confident and involved learners.  </p><p>Outcome 4.2 - Children develop a range of learning and thinking skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating. </p>]]></description>
