Despite the growing scepticism, Sevyn trained from a young age to become stronger, to be able to protect his mother from all of the dangers of the world. The mountains became his backyard, his training grounds. Every scar was a reminder to be better, to be stronger. Born and raised in the north side of Elysoria had many disadvantages, but the community was something he could never be more grateful for. When his mother was busy working, or wasn't available emotionally, he had all of the aunts and uncles in the world to teach him all the lessons he could ever need.

When he was just shy of turning sixteen, his mother passed away. He never did find out the truth about his father, and he decided that that was okay. He had far more people he could call his family now and he didn't need to know if his mother didn't wish to tell him.

As a sort of personal way repenting for the lives he has taken, he not only works as a blacksmith, but as a farmhand for some of the locals, especially the elderly who struggle to work the fields like they used to. Some of these folk have known him since he was a child and he likes to think that this is a way to repay them for all of the times they took care of him when he or his mother couldn't.

He takes on any requests which require travelling into or through the mountains too, but sometimes he just likes to take hikes for a break from life.

He travelled throughout the north, learned even more about the mountains - the dangers, the safety, the reality. Most of the jobs they took on were escort requests, as guards, as buffers, as guides.

The first time he killed another man was when he was eighteen. An escort mission gone awry. Their employers had been a little paranoid and had hired more than just their party. Tensions had been high from the beginning of the trip. A fight broke out and in the end, Sevyn was the only one of his party to remain standing. He had to say goodbye to the man who had been more like a father to him than anyone.

He stayed on the move, taking on more jobs, more work, learning the ins and outs of the land. Rarely did he ever visit the south, but he wasn't unfamiliar with that side of Elysoria. It took five years before he decided to settle down more permanently and take up a craft, blacksmithing. Because even though he had laid down his arms for now, there would always be a need for them for someone, somewhere.
