Hi all! I'm Matt Brooks, a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University. My research focus is on psychological responses to adversity, particularly posttraumatic growth and resilience, and strengths-based interpretations of recovery. I have previously supervised three students - two as second supervisor, and one as first supervisor (but only after the main supervisor left). I have also acted as a reviewer to other PhD students' progress during annual reviews and have served as internal and external examiner. I have never, however, supervised a student from the start.
