I plan to have someone in a hallway of doors, and to have people trying to push those doors open on the other side (I would like their hands to be visible through the openings of the door), and I would like the dreamer (viewer 3rd person OR 1st person) stressing to keep those doors shut, pushing with all their might to keep those people from coming in. I plan to keep it faceless so that it is easier for the viewer of my photograph to envision themself in this situation. I plan to shoot from different eye levels, specifically straight forward, and worm's eye view from under the dreamer; if I shoot it in the first person view, I plan to add motion blur or some distortion (a wide shot) in order to show the dreamer is closing multiple doors (possibly similar to a panorama). For the color of this photo, I want to keep it dark, probably underexposed, but with a cool color tint (the color of purple is coming to my head, specifically, when I envision this idea). I plan to shoot a dramatically lit landscape photograph, within a forest busy with trees, bushes and colors. I want my landscape photograph to be within the scene, rather than outside of it, to make the viewer see through the dreamer's eyes and feel as though they are there within the dream. Personally, whenever I am within a forest (of some sort) it is magical to me, and almost fantasy-like. I would like the photograph to feel busy, as there are many places for your eyes to wonder; I want to use positive space. However, I want my photograph to capture the feeling of the dream exactly: you are gazing around this magical place, and as you wander through it you see a an ominous figure (person) and continue you to gaze back at it, to reassure yourself that you were not seeing things, but there is indeed a hidden figure within your paradise. This reflects paranoia as you may feel that you see things that aren't there; or, that even in your places of peace, there is inescapable and unavoidable danger.

I plan to have ghosts in the house to show that the dreamer is capable of imagining them in the comfort of their own home. This photograph relies on phasmophobia (the fear of ghosts). My first vision is to have the dreamer running from the ghosts, or being chased, in a hallway of a house. My second vision is to have the scene happen on the stairs, in order to visually show the movement of the dreamer more easily. The emphasis on the ghosts will be more prominent also, as the ghosts will be on the top of the stairs, or chasing the dreamer from above. I want this photograph to be dark, or underexposed. It may have a specific color to drive the mood, perhaps cold tones like blue, or red to emphasize and symbolize evil. I plan to shoot this photograph from the first person perspective of the dreamer. I envision to have an open paint palette covered in red paint in background (focused or not too out of focus), and in foreground have hands of dreamer covered in red paint. The hand may have a shake to them (slight motion blur), or show fear simply through the position of the fingers. I want to imply that within this dream, the dreamer had opened their watercolor pallet to paint, however, upon opening it they saw it was covered in blood. Then, they would see that their hands were covered in blood as well, in order to imply that the dreamer had committed a killing of some kind. Ultimately, this dream could have the potential of scarring the dreamer into never painting again. I plan to make this submission a triptych. There will be three different scenes that the dreamer will find themself running into; I want it to feel transitional, just as the dream will be about running through different scenes. Essentially, the dreamer is teleporting unintentionally into different places with different clothing, to visualize the strangeness and randomness of the dream. I plan to shoot these pictures from a 3rd person viewpoint, from the side view of the dreamer to show their path into the next photograph (the next scene/place); the runner will be running from left to right, to make it easier for the viewers of the photograph to follow the runner's journey. I plan to have my model wear colors that stand out from the scene they are in, to add emphasis to spot the dreamer. I plan to have a busy photograph with piles of items; I want it to look as if the dreamer was in a messy and confusing place. However, I want it to be so messy that it would make the dreamer feel as though they needed to search for something; as if there had to be a reason for the mess. This also creates the idea of "finding a needle in a haystack." To make it easier on my viewer I plan for this photograph to be in black and white, with the "hidden" object in color. I plan to take two horizontal photographs and combine them into one, but not as a double exposure. I want to have the main place in a dreamy/hazy/warped/distorted version on one side and the other side be a crystal clear reality. I wish for the dreamer to be standing in the middle, with half of their body in the dream and the other in reality, to show that he is in the same place both in his dream and in reality. I want my photograph to appear almost as if it was a walking cycle. This photograph will symbolize the situation of a reoccurring dream over the span of a week, which is why I will have 7 versions of the dreamer. To help the viewer I would like there to be a calendar in the background of every slot to show the progression of days: day after day will be marked off in the calendar. I will need to use Photoshop to create this image. I plan for this photograph to be very warm, whether that is through a purposeful yellow tint, or through the objects I choose to place in my photograph as subject matter. When designing a happy image in my head, I thought of ice cream, and for the idea of a warm and sunny picture, my brain went to the beach. In order to implement a youthful nature to my photograph, as it is a memory, I thought of having a child with their parent; this would be something that most, if not all of us can relate to. As this is a memory, I am required to take it from the first person view, as the dreamer did experience this them self at one point, so the view should be from their eyes. As it is from the first person view, the best way to capture hints of my dreamer is by capturing their hands, so I thought of showing the dreamer's small hand holding ice cream next to their parent's large hand holding ice cream. An alternative to the parent idea would be to show the dreamer and their friend having ice cream; in order to make their friendship easily viewable, I thought of the idea to have friendship bracelets on their wrists.

In order to show a sad photograph off-the-bat, the colors should be muted or it should be in black and white, in my opinion; that is what I plan to do with this photograph. I want to combine two photographs together, similar to the Deja Vu photograph where the two images fit on the same photograph and are not separated to be displayed as a diptych. I do not want to have a diptych because it would be the only one in my photograph and I don't want it to stand out among the others simply from a display choice. It is a memory, and therefore I plan to have it from the first person view. Reading from left to right, I plan to have the first half be of the dreamer playing with a toy of their's, and then the second half will only have the toy sitting in a lonely park by itself to show it was left behind on accident. Accidentally leaving a toy behind is something I personally have experienced, and it is a very sad idea to me. I plan for my photograph to be in a similar setting to this photograph: on the stairs, or on the top of the stair balcony looking out into the first floor of the house. However, I plan for this to be in the first person viewpoint, as it is a memory, and I want to show a child-like position, which is putting the dreamer's legs through the rails and having them look through the rails down at family members fighting. I want to imply, through probable silhouettes, that they are watching their parents are arguing. I want this photograph to visually underexposed/dark, however I am not yet sure about the color scheme. For this photograph, I plan to have the dreamer looking at their phone. I want this photograph to be dark and dramatic to easily give the impression that this is not a good memory to recall and dream about. As it is my last memory photograph, I will be taking it from the first person. I plan to have water droplets on the phone screen to imply that the dreamer has been crying, and on the phone screen I want it to be open on messages and show the latest messages that the person their texting has sent which would be somewhere along the lines of implying a break up, badly ended friendship, or a parent's disapproval. For this photograph, I would like it to be vibrant and hazy, only to show an ominous puppet master's hands controlling the dreamer with strings from above (probably in the sky): a plot-twist or at least a picture you need to look closely at. Although, I am not sure if it should just be in black and white to fully give the impression that it is not fun to be controlled. I plan for this photograph to be from the third person viewpoint in order to show the strings better, and to show that the dreamer is not entirely aware of the puppet master. I plan to have this photograph be overdramatic as it is a dream, but also specifically because it will be almost like a "holy grail" photograph. I want there to be dramatically strong lighting hitting a trophy to overdo the idea of a golden trophy. I plan to have this either be from the first person viewpoint or the third person viewpoint; the dreamer will be reaching out to grab this trophy, to show that they can actually have the trophy "of their dreams" here in this dream. I also want the background to not be visually loud so as not to distract from my main subjects of the dreamer and their trophy, so I might make it be negative space (probably black to show some symbolism that their goal of obtaining the trophy can pull them out of the darkness and stress of working hard to get that trophy. Personally, this dream scenario relates to my desires to have a fun dream: I like tea parties and I think they are very fun. I plan to have an almost Alice and Wonderland styled tea party with stuffed animals as the tea party guests. I plan for this photograph to be either from the first person view, and the dreamer would raise their cup of tea, or be holding it properly on their saucer, or the photograph could be from the third person view showing the dreamer's expression to be enjoying themself. This would be the one photograph where a face would, in a way, be necessary to show the facial expression of someone having fun; this may be my only not faceless portrait.
