It falls under "Trusting and helping other citizens in times of trouble," since the very job of the crossing guard is to assist young citizens in crossing the street daily, and prevent cars from injuring them. Although this isn't much of a troubled time, it is a risky one, since it would be so easy for a young person, or anyone for that matter, to get severely injured by the oncoming cars. The crossing guard helps them across the road, keeping them from harm, representing the idea of helping other citizens. This also falls under the idea "Abiding by the law, and avoiding illegal acts," since it would so easy for all the cars to neglect the rules set forth, and merely run over the kids. Of course, the morality of the drivers keep them from doing this, but it also represents how they are good citizens. They are patiently waiting until the children pass to avoid any conflict, and to avoid breaking any laws. This picture fully captures two important aspects of being a citizen, through a tiny act so simple, it isn't taken seriously in day-to-day life.

A few years ago my girl scout troop and I came together and planted a new tree that had fallen during hurricane sandy. This was not just an ordinary tree, this tree was planted by his mom in 1944 for her special son.  We did this to show our respect for not only the soldier on the plaque Eugene A. Ivers but also to respect the environment around us in Allendale because this tree was planted on Earth day. Overall this picture shows the citizenship of our town and how we came together as one to make a simple gesture of respect towards the citizens of Allendale.

This is a very good example of citizenship. The 9/11 memorial falls under the trait allegiance and respect to the country and accept all citizens, regardless of gender, race, or religion. This is because 9/11 was a huge, impactful moment in our country, but at the same time it brought us together and showed our allegiance as a country. Everybody helped everyone no matter their gender, race, or religion. Everybody united as one and this memorial brings together people too. On 9/11 the town comes together at the memorial and has a service uniting our town, or showing our allegiance to Allendale and our country. That is why I think this photo goes along with the trait allegiance and respect to the country and accept all citizens, regardless of gender, race or religion.

Furthermore, without the crossing guards the kids are not really in a "time of trouble" however they are in harms way. There is a possibility that a car could not see the kids and run them over. However, with the crossing guards there is a lesser chance that this may happen.
