• Strengthen bond with Allah SWT.

• Refining souls and keeping away from major sins.

• To make us the real servant of Allah SWT.

1)Believe in Allah SWT:

• Iman in the existence of Allah SWT.

• Iman that Allah alone is the Lord, without any partners.

• Iman in His servitude.

• Iman in His Names and Attributes.

2)Believe in Malaikah (the angle):

They do not have any of the traits of lordship or divinity. They are a part of the world of the unseen and Allah has created them from light.

3)Believe in Ku'tub (the book):

• The Suhuf

• The Tawrah

• The Zabur

• The Injil

• The Quran

• A messenger is to whom Allah revealed specific legislation and commanded him to convey it to those who did not know of it, or those who knew of it but opposed it.

• A prophet is to whom Allah revealed previous legislation, to inform those around him who are members of that legislation and renew its teachings.

2)Believe in Qiyamah (the Resurrection Day):

It was named as such because there is no day after it. The inhabitants of Paradise will reside in it forever, and likewise, the inhabitants of Hellfire will reside in it forever.

3)Believe in Qada and Qadar:

• Qada is the general decree of Allah (SWT) that every human shall die.

• Qadar is a particular decree of Allah Almighty or the execution of Qadhaa’, that a certain person is to die at a particular time and place.

For my first task in Usrah, I'm and my group member are required to do roleplay either create a video or a poster. My group consisting of Farish Aqasha, Nurhakimi, Mirza, Ahmad Nabil and I choose to make a poster with a topic about:

WHY OUR IMAN ALWAYS BEEN TESTED?

The word Ihsan is repeated 211 times in the Quran based on al-Mu'jam al-Mufahras li Alfaz al-Quran.

According to the Quran, there are 3 characteristics of al-Muhsin. (people who have the quality of kindness)

1. Giving kindness to others.

2. Giving kindness to others at the best possible level.

3. Do things 1 and 2 because of Allah SWT.

Examples of prophets who have the quality of courtesy:

-Prophet Yusuf AS

We have to strive to attain an exemplary rank of adab with our parents. It is because, they have raised us with love. We need to remember, there is no perfect parents. But they are always doing the best for us, and that is what only matters.

Adab toward neighbour:

Islam finds a neighbour's rights to be highly important. A Muslim, no matter their faith, must be good to his/her neighbours. Maintaining these rights allows the individual and community to be happy & harmony.

Adab as a student:

When talking about student status, of course the teacher is involved. Students should take care of their manners with their teachers because of many reasons, among them because, they have poured all their energy to educate us, the students.

How to take care for the environment:

• Not damaging the environment such as the use of pesticides or cutting down trees at will.

• Maintaining the sustainability of wild habitats.

Why we need to appreciate our nature?

-It is because nature is a gift from Allah SWT for us, but we need to remember it's also a non-lasting thing if we don't treat it right.

What is sustainability means?

-Sustainability means the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level which in an easy way means that to make environment stay the same as before. IT is also very important to do it to our environment so that the future generation can experience this beautiful world too.

First of all, I want to say thank you to the facilitator and all the members from Usrah 115. From this Usrah session I learn more about Islam like a story that facilitator tell us that I never heard since I from the daily school. Also, the members at a Usrah are very friendly with me.

The term ḥikmah is often translated as "wisdom" or "philosophy" in English. It is a concept that is highly valued in Islamic thought and is a positive value that can be acquired through ʿibādah (worship) . According to Eliza Tasbihi (2014), the term ḥikmah refers to "the ability to discern the true nature of things and to act accordingly“.

● Ḥikmah means intellect, wisdom, and knowledge.

● Ḥikmah denotes fear [of God], according to Rabi bin Anas.

● Ḥikmah is the concept of comprehending the commands of Allah, according to Ibn Zayd.

● Ḥikmah is a blend of knowledge and deed, according to Ibn Qutaiba.

Objective of hikmah:

Help individuals develop a deeper understanding of the religion and to live their lives in accordance with its teachings. It is believed that engaging in cultivation of inner qualities such as humility, sincerity, and devotion.

Salah instills awareness of Allah, restrains from immoral behavior and encourages obedience.

Attribute of salah:

• Ikhlas - sincerity for Allah

• Fear of Allah

• Remembrance of Allah

Swan (fasting):

Sawn develops taqwa, empathy, and discipline. It helps believers draw closer to Allah.

Zakah (charity):

Zakah purifies and self, fostering generosity and reducing greed.

Hajj (pilgrimage):

Hajj disciplines believers to follow Allah's commandments and abstain from prohibited acts.

Literally - The term 'khusyu' in Arabic means calmness, humility, fear and humbleness.

Terminology - Khusyu' refers to a state of the heart characterized by humility, submission, and attentiveness to Allah during acts of worship, particularly in solat (prayer).

Why khusyu' matters in Solat?

• Solat is the second pillar of Islam and direct connection with Allah.

• Khusyu' ensures focus, humility and sincerity in prayer.

How to Achieve Khusyu'?

• Prepare mentally and physically: Purify intentions, perform wudu', wear clean attire.

• Understand the meanings of recitations.

• Choose a quiet and clean place for solat.

• Avoid distractions: Keep gadgets away.

• Visualize standing before Allah IHSAN.

Effects of Khusyu' in Daily Life and Hereafter:

• Increases mindfulness and discipline.

• Strengthens connection with Allah.

• Promotes inner peace and reduces stress.

• Rewards in the Hereafter: Acceptance of prayers and closeness to Allah.

• Total obedience to Allah’s commands.

• In Ṣalāh:

  - Bowing and prostration signify submission.

  - Builds unwavering loyalty to Allah.

• Reflection: Ṣalāh reminds us of our purpose and

      servitude to Allah.

2) Al-Jihād (Struggle in the path of Allah):

• Striving for Allah’s cause, spiritually and morally.

• •In Ṣalāh:

  - Overcoming distractions to maintain focus.

  - Battling the self to achieve Khushūʿ.

• Reflection: Daily prayers strengthen our resolve to face life’s struggles with patience.

3) Muḥāsabah (Reflection):

• Self-accountability and self-contemplation.

• In Ṣalāh:

  - Time for self-reflection and seeking forgiveness.

  - Evaluating actions and intentions before Allah.

• Reflection: Encourages a purified heart and a clear conscience.

4) Tawaḍḍuʿ (Humility/Humbleness):

• Acknowledgment of one’s position as a servant of Allah.

• In Ṣalāh:

  - Physical acts like bowing and prostration demonstrate humility.

  - Removes arrogance and instills gratitude.

• Reflection: Develops a humble attitude in daily interactions.

5) Iffah (Modesty/self-restraint from sinful behaviour):

• Avoidance of sinful behavior and desires.

• In Ṣalāh:

  - Reminder of Allah’s presence fosters modesty in thoughts and actions.

  - Nurtures self-discipline and moral integrity.

• Reflection: A barrier against sins and worldly distractions.

1) Fix Intentions

The words of Allah SWT:

وَمَآ أُمِرُوْاْ إِلَّ لِيعَبُدُواْ ّلَلَّهَ مُخلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ

Meaning: "In their case, they are not commanded except to worship God with sincere worship to Him".

(Al-Bayyinah: 5).

2) Pray

If we look at the Salaf in welcoming Ramadan, one of the things they practiced was praying. The same goes for the Prophet ﷺ, who in some hadiths narrates the supplication of the Prophet ﷺ to be blessed in the month of Ramadan and also when seeing the crescent moon of Ramadan.

3) Increase Reading the Quran

Ramadan is a very special month. In it was revealed the Quran which is a guide for all people. The word of Allah ﷻ:

شَهۡرُ رَمَضَانَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ هُدٗى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَٰتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَٱلۡفُرۡقَانِۚ

The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.

(Al-Baqarah: 185)

4) Giving Charity & Feeding

Similarly, feeding others by preparing food to break the fast is also a form of charity and even has its own reward.

5) Qiyam

Qiyam is meant here by spending the night in the month of Ramadan worshipping Allah ﷻ. It is Sunnah for us to perform the obligatory prayers known as Taraweeh prayers in congregation or individually.

INTRODUCTION & OBJECTIVE OF IBADAH.

Zakāh is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. It is obligatory for Muslims

to observe.A means to grow closer to Allah SWT, alongside Ṣalāh, Ṣawm, and Ḥajj.Zakāh impacts individual and social life positively.

What is Zakāh?

• Literal meaning: Growth, increase, cleanliness, and

  betterment.

• Technical meaning: A determined share of wealth

  prescribed by God to be distributed among deserving

  categories.

• Differentiates from tax systems: Zakāh promotes spiritual

  purification and social responsibility.

The Virtues of Zakāh : Tawakkul

• Tawakkul (Reliance on Allah)

• Training Muslims to rely on Allah SWT rather than material wealth.

• Assurance that Allah will replace what is given for His sake.

The Virtues of Zakāh : Ukhuwwah

• Fosters love, empathy, and unity

  among Muslims.

• Purifies society from envy and

  hatred.

Zakāh: Bridging Relationships

• VERTICAL CORRELATION:

  RELATIONSHIP WITH ALLAH SWT.

• HORIZONTAL CORRELATION:

  RELATIONSHIP WITH FELLOW HUMANS.
