Archaeologists have discovered artifacts used by early humans, including stone tools. Most of the other civilizations have been recognized and even celebrated for their contributions, but India is often overlooked, especially in the Western part even though it's culture and history is just as rich in importance as the other are. Archaeologists discoveries in the past fifty years have dramatically changed the understanding of India's previous life and world history. The Indus valley civilization dates to 500 BCE and grew through the Ganetic Valley region, in the south to the north.
