         <description><![CDATA[<div><br><strong>Technique: </strong> When a student has failed to respond to other interventions and general class management techniques and interventions. CICO is a highly effective research based intervention and can be changed and adapted to suit any school or situation.<br><br><strong>Implementation: </strong> The program consists of students daily checking in with an adult at the start of school to retrieve a goal sheet and encouragement, teachers provide feedback on the sheet throughout the day, students check out at the end of the day with an adult, and the student takes the sheet home to be signed, returning it the following morning at check in.<br><br><strong>Progress-Monitored:</strong> Daily Check-In, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Report</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br><strong>Technique: </strong> After tracking and analyzing the bullying behavior. Utilize a behavior plan form to create a plan as to curb bullying and what specific interventions and class supports you will provide to address the bullying behavior. Included in the plan should be a component as to what is expected of the teacher, student, and parent.<br> <br><strong>Implementation:</strong>  Meet with the student, teachers, parent, and support staff to review the behavior plan, giving copies to everyone and having everyone sign the plan.<br><br><strong>Progress-Monitored:</strong> Weekly BIP Form. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><ul><li>Bullied students have feel of fear from coming to school because they feel that they are unsafe.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>Bullied students have lower academic achievement  and bullying impacts are larger if it is more severe.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>If students feel that bullying is a phenomenon in their school, they feel that they are unsafe which reflected on less engaged in school community.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>Bullied students performance is poor in school and seek to avoid attending school classes for the purpose of avoiding victimization.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>Students who are often subject to be bullied by their peers during school period have less engagement at school and poor grades.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>                   How School Policies can Help Students Experiencing Bullying</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><ul><li>A code of conduct describes the positive behaviors expected of the school community. The code of conduct applies to all, sets standards for behavior, and covers a focused set of expected positive behaviors. </li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>Incorporate rules and policies in day-to-day school interactions. Teachers and students can discuss the rules in class. Students can hold each other accountable. The principal can give an annual “state of the school” speech that reports on the mission. </li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>Schools can establish clear procedures for reporting rule violations so that reasonable consequences can be given to students when rules are broken. Reporting systems help track individual incidents and responses as well as trends over time.   </li></ul>]]></description>
