UDL stands for the Universal Design for Learning. UDL is a variety of teaching methods and strategies that is accomodating to many different types of students. Each student has a different learning style and experience. UDL allows teachers to factor in all of these differences and teach students effectively. UDL is a way to approach teaching with the mindset that teachers can individualize their lessons to cater to the specific needs of the students in their class. For example, UDL helps accommodate students with learning deficits, and caters to their needs that may be different from an advanced student.
