Teacher Sergio used several approaches so the children would want to learn. He encouraged them to think and to develop their thinking by trying, and it didn't matter if they made “mistakes” when doing that, because trying, failing, and then learning is the key factor of education. Also, another factor of postmethod pedagogy evidenced in the movie is the dialogue and the interest in students' context to help them in their process to achieve their goals, even if those were not directly related to the class contents.

I think that the whole movie is a reflection of what Postmethod pedagogy stands for. We can see how students are involved in the bulding of the knowlegde in order to make it meaningful for them. In my essay, I mentioned that the teaching process has to be focused on giving the students a purpose to learn, a purpose aimed at overcoming their particular realities. Sergio wanted the same as me: in a context of violence, corruption, inequality, and poverty, he used his pedagogy to make his students realize they could choose a better way to live their lives because each one was special and could achieve unthinkable goals.

That movie permitted me to reaffirm my purpose, but being down-to-earth.
