         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Content Standard:</strong> 5th Grade ELA--<br>5.W.6:&nbsp; With some guidance and support from adults, use technology, including the internet, to produce and publish writing as well as to interact and collaborate with others; demonstrate sufficient command of keyboarding skills in order to complete a writing task. <br><br><strong>ISTE Technology Standard:</strong> Creative Communicator (6c)-- Students communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively by creating or using a variety of digital objects such as visualizations, models or simulations. <br><br><strong>Performance Task:</strong> Students will be asked to create a website to host an online portfolio of their literary work from class.&nbsp; This website will contain student samples of writing completed as in-class and personal assignments.  Students must work together to make a cohesive website.  We, as teachers, will be available for assistance regarding technological questions, and will model the process for creating their page on the website.  </div>]]></description>
