This is a nonfiction history book. This is a letter to professor response.
Dear Professor Solomon, The book “The Mayflower” by: Mark Greenwood is a great story educating children on pilgrims and their journey. I believe it could be used in the elementary or junior high classroom. The book is intended for grade four but you could adapt it to fit any grade level. This book gives great descriptive details and gives the reader an idea of what it might of been like to be on the Mayflower. It uses a great timeline at the end of the book to layout what happened from the start of boarding the Mayflower all the way to President FDR making Thanksgiving a holiday. I think this book would be great to teach about Pilgrims and what their ideas were about leaving England as well as their journey.

Chapter book #2 “You're probably scare, and nervous, and just about ready to pee your pants. But don't run from your fear. Embrace it! Because believe me, the best things in life are worth fighting for.” I think this quote is a great one for all ages to help them know that if they want something bad enough not to give up. They might be anxious and feel the butterflies in their tummies, but they just need to take all of that energy and put it to a good attitude and use it to get what you are aiming for. I think even adults, as well as children can learn from this quote.

It can relate to interests with boys and girls! Leroy Brown, a great detective of only 10 years old, solves mysteries for his friends and neighbors. We all think he might get his crime solving from his dad, the chief of police. There won't be any lack of cases to solve with 10 mysteries in each book! This is a great book to really hook kids and get them engaged with reading, and to have fun.

Everyone has feelings and emotions that they are not sure if other people have them.

I am doing a summary. This is a biography.
This fun book tells students all about the first man to walk on the moon. It starts off in his childhood and how he was very poor and how he didn't have certain attributes. It goes along telling his journey through comic strip like cartoon pictures and fun animations. The story will really connect with students because it has been made fun and interesting.

This is a post modern picture book. I am doing a short write.
This book brings up a good point to children, why do certain things/people have to do what they are said to do? Why does a chair have to be to sit on? Why can a chair not be a tool used to make a great fort to read in?? This helps students broaden their imagination with a funny, cute book.
