Hello everyone, my name is Loredana and I am a primary school teacher in Rome. I find it very interesting to undertake this path "Learning in a museum" because it can be an excellent opportunity for students. I think that I can have a good enrichment.
What is a museum?

In my personal perception the "museum" has gone from being a static, almost boring place, a place of attraction for those who are passionate about a dynamic, active, fun place, where it is often allowed to interact with the works. I remember the cemetery silence that prevailed in the past, while now, above all thanks to a specialized staff and the laboratories that are organized, one has the opportunity to learn by doing. For children it is a great way to learn differently.

I find Nina Simon's ideas really interesting and innovative. It completely changes the meaning of the word "Museum", which goes from being a place for the elite, to a place of social aggregation under the meaning of cultural growth. this is beautiful! Our society needs aggregation, in the sense of communicating confidently with the other that we do not know, and above all of growing culturally. And what place to be better than a museum? I believe that provide our students with the opportunity to experience a new way of learning is a wonderful opportunity for growth. By now it is undisputed that our rockets have different learning styles, that is, this is a different way of learning. This does not mean that we can continue to use the museum in the traditional way.
