I chose this module to help me develop my ideas on a business that I want to set up, to help set some sort of firm foundation for my project and to realise the strengths and weaknesses in the plan.  My business plan is start up a Vocational college that offers another route to young people that doesn't involve going to university or doing apprenticeships. As well as helping them set up their own businesses as well as finding them a secure job that they can go into, which would allow them to develop the skills and training needed to make their businesses successful. The key skills I would need for my project are networking and researching. At the end of my final year I would like to hopefully achieve a first and build my character throughout the year. During my last year, I've been involved in the development of VR and other educational resources which gave me an idea for project which I want to realize in future and this is one of the reasons I chose this module. 
The project I want to do is a dynamic shape room combined with haptic vest, Virtual Reality headset (such as Oculus Rift/HTC Vive), smell dispensers, temperature adjustment system and 3D printed props. I plan this project to be a topic of my 3'rd year dissertation and possibly my masters. In this Add-vantage module I hope to have additional opportunity to spend more time on developing a prototype for the dynamic shape room, to focus on the less technical aspects of the project such as planning, writing  proposal, finding funding and other aspects which I cannot investigate in my undergraduate dissertation topic.
In order to gain the skills required for realizing this project, I plan to combine my some of my work time, dissertation topic and add-vantage module to learn more about the engineering related to building the dynamic shape room, the software development required for controlling the environment, the cost of all equipment required as well as how to assemble it the health and safety aspect of such room and the possible new type of educational materials and practices that could be provided by such resource. 
I hope to get more people from the university interested in this project (inc. DMLL) in order to actually make it happen.

While this isn't final, I am thinking of my own news station, Tv ideally, this would allow journalism students or even those with an interest in Journalism to create and publish their own content. Skills I would need are quality control, networking and producing. I hope this will enhance my knowledge of the Journalism industry and hopefully give others the opportunity to practise their Journalism skills. The project I want to do is designing a luxury private boat targeting on Chinese market.Both exterior and interior design should be included within Chinese special cultural elements. 
I hope this Add-vantage module can provide the opportunity to spend more time on detailed designing and get ideas and advice from classmates or the teacher.
Sketching ,Photoshop ,Alias and clay modeling are really necessary for my project.I do want to work with anyone who do not come from China.It is a good chance to learn different thoughts from different countries on the same design.Media students and design students should be better so I can record the design process and collect more valuable and professional suggestions.

I undertook a placement year with an education charity called City Year, where I worked as a learning and behaviour mentor in an underprivileged school. Here, I was exposed to the the nature of our education system and whilst it helps to shape most of lives, it also has let down some of our youth today. I feel there are cracks, where we as a society are responsible for filling. I chose this module to help develop a potential concept to help regenerate enthusiasm and motivation in todays youth. I intend to gain and practice skills such as leadership, effective communication, and organisation which I believe is fundamental in a professional world. I hope to establish a learning and behavior center, targeted in inner city areas where education standards are simply not being met, due to high demands, pressure and current socio-economic standards. This center intends to provide support to young people in their education as well as social and emotional support, whilst tackling significant social issues, such as bullying, gangs, drugs, body image, cultural barriers e.t.c through interactive workshops. In turn, providing them with confidence and a positive outlook in life in a generation lacking in motivation. For this project I’m thinking of developing a sculpture or/and a series of realistic sculptures using different materials, and illustrating different creatures but all of them should be representing   some sort of idea of ‘life’. I wish this to become a consistent way of creating my final year project.
For that kind of project, I will need a lot of research, some discussion with my course mates and of course discussions and critiques from my tutors. Of which I will need to collect a lot of notes. Not including all of the sketches and manual work it will require.
This year will be a great practice for myself as when I finish university I plan to get a job as a freelancer and tattoo artist. This module would hopefully would give me a chance of strengthening my skills for future use.
