1.  The first scene that stands out to me would be when the boy and the two older men are sailing at the very beginning. This makes the audience curious where they are going, or what they are up to. It draws you in and sets the mood of the film. In this scene, the boy also gets handed a matching hat that the other men are wearing.

2.  The second scene that stands out to me would be when the middle aged man hoists up the ladder, and the boy looks up at it with awe. You can tell he is nervous about it, but knows that he can't let the other two men down. As he reluctantly climbs the ladder, you realize that he is climbing to the moon.

3. The third scene that really stands out would be when the giant star lands on the moon. The two men are unsure of how to move it, but at this point the boy built up the confidence to try and move it on his own. In the first scene, it starts off with a  birds eye view of them sailing. This shows the audience that they are alone in the ocean, and makes it seem mysterious. 

2. In the second scene, the director used an extreme wide shot as the boy is climbing the ladder. This gives the audience a view of how high up the boy is really going, and how vast and empty the ocean is.

3. The third scene has an extreme close up, as the boy is about to hit the giant star with the hammer. You can tell that he is nervous in the beginning, because of the way he looks at his mentors before putting the hat on. Towards the middle of the film, he is determined to climb the ladder and reach the moon.
