A. The scope of semantics consist of formal semantics which are seen usually as meanings in implication and lexical semantics.

B. Semantic is related to other linguistic studies because everything ties together to form meanings.

C. 1. Form is a combination of phonology and orthography.
2. Semantics deals with lexical semantics and compositional semantics.
3. Pragmatics is similar with semantics except, pragmatics study the meaning through the context.

Referential theory: The problem that this theory would face is trying to interpret meanings of something that don't exist or cannot be sensed. For example, a lot of people think ghosts are real but, there still no valid meaning of what ghost means to people. Everyone have different meanings to portray what ghost mean. It could mean demon or the spiritual being from the deceased.

Representational theory: The problem that this theory would face is portraying the right meaning where people can all agree. It is because this theory comes from people's own belief and opinion, there will always be a time where people come to agree and disagree at certain meanings. Which could cause major conflict between each individuals or groups. For example, in a political aspect, people have different beliefs of what justice really mean. It resulted in people rebelling over one's idea of what justice is and create a cycle of distrust.

1. What are the new knowledge you form from working on the activity?
-. In thematic meaning, A meaning can still have the same meaning even though we changed the word order or the arrangement. For example, passive and active sentences will still have the same meaning despite having a different word order.

2. What are two interesting facts of Types of Meaning you can identify from their project?
-. People can alter the meaning of something due to their social and affective background. Conflicts always happened because people tend to look at all meaning subjectively. For example, religious people always fought that their teachings are better than the other.
-. Cognitive meaning happened when we already have a mental image or experience of what the object is. For example, when we see a door, it doesn't need a written linguistic form to know that it's a door. Even if the shape of the door is the different, it still shares the same functionality, to transition between rooms.
