The OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 pro both are one costlier smartphone available in the market right behind the Apple iPhone and after paying large-sum money people expect that they are given the same quality product. Nevertheless, the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro failed to provide quality and didn't exceed consumers' expectations due to the low storage issue caused by the preloaded app Media Storage. Today we are discussing how this became a problematic issue which customers couldn't ignore and raised their voices. 

 

 

When we are buying a smartphone one of the most important features that we look for inside a phone is its capacity of storage. The low storage might be the reason if the consumer decides to skip buying a phone altogether. How about when the customer is promised 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and in the end, your phone unknowingly and rapidly runs out of storage space and your battery life starts draining faster than it is supposed to?

 

Well, that's exactly what the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users are currently facing. After spending around Rs. 65,000 their smartphones instantly started giving them trouble. All of sudden their phone battery started to drain faster for some unspecified reason and their phone is running on low storage. Later it was found all of this was happening due to the preloaded app Media Storage. Whenever the user deleted something from their phone Galleries like a picture, a video clip, or anything. Media Storage started to act like a trash can that used to save every file and picture that consumers used to delete from their phone. 

 

Even though the users were deleting the unnecessary file to create more storage space. The file to be precise was never erased in the first place and ended up saving in Media Storage and that's when consumers of the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro started facing low storage issues and Media storage even started to consume their battery life at a rapid pace. 

 

Lots of people started to tweet on the similar issue that they were facing in both the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. But there was no response from the manufacturers of OnePlus to address and resolve the issue which their customers are facing. 

As a result of all of this, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9, Pro customers also reported that their phones are slowing down. Some other issues were also raised if the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users are the only ones facing this issue or are there other OnePlus phone users facing similar problems.

 

Turns out the OnePlus 7 Pro and newly launched OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone users complained about the same issues. After some examination, it was finally reported all of this was caused by some software bug, and the company can easily fix this problem once they update the software. 

Otherwise, the users can easily short out this issue by themselves. All they have to do is visit the Media Storage app and remove the recently deleted items from there. Your phone storage once again has the space to save more items. Your phone battery won't be easily consumed and your phone will pick up the speed right away. 

 

 

There are two options to resolve this issue. But the second one is just a temporary solution. That's why OnePlus manufacturers need to address this issue and fix the software bug. If the consumers continue facing such problems in the future. Where OnePlus right now sell mobiles at higher prices and still holds a significant place in the market. These minor issues like software bugs can lead them towards their downfall. Right now everything relies upon the company and how fast they are going to fix the bug.
