She and her brother are separated from the rest of her pod. They encounter many obstacles as they try to find their way back home. Obstacles such as giant octopuses, strange killer whales, and packs of hunting sharks they come across it all as they try to get safely home to their pod. I like this book because its cool to see the perspective of an animal who is being affected by the action of other humans. I also like that its an ocean animal because I am interested in sea animals. The people that killed others that were found or the students that were killed are not actually dead, they're in a pod that is keeping them in the real world.
