Description- a quotation system provides a quotation on products and services a company provides. This is done on as computer system on behalf of the company.

Advantages- •Ability to recalculate the quote if a customer adds items from the List

•Can automatically recalculate the cost.

•Can perform ‘what if’ models the cost of different qualities, items, etc.

•Can show graphically by producing various charts and graphs of sales

•Can show comparison between different salesmen to foster competition

•Accurate calculation of commission

•Will increase efficiency and saves time by preventing sales staff from having query errors

•Can show visually/graphically by producing various charts and graphs

Disadvantages-
-Takes time to input data/ create the model
-May have to pay professional to create quotation system if you have insufficient knowledge
-Wrong formulas inputted mean wrong outputs shown
-Some situations are difficult to model so output may be inaccurate

•Cheaper as do not have to physically destroy cars

•· Safer as nobody is really hurt

•· Can explore different scenarios more easily

Disadvantages

•· Model could oversimplify the situation and not be accurate enough

•· Bad data errors in formulas will spoil accuracy

•· No model is ever 100% accurate
