Even though I'm unfortunetly not your favorite student, you are one of my favorite teachers. Media Arts was my FAVORITE course this semester, and thats mainly bc it was you teaching us. I love your jokes and your personality, i loved being the drama club with you to hear all your comments. Thanks for everything, you will most defintely be remembered as my favorite teacher. Have fun in retirement without us!

And the RUN CLUB, oh my god I dont even know how and where to start! The Run Club which will NEVER be the same without you, ever. You definitely spoiled us all Ms. Blackthorne, Who else - WHO ELSE would put there time and love to sew us PRIZES with their own hands! No would do that but YOU did! And you did have to <3. You put your time and effort for us, Thank you. Who else would spend their own hard- earned money on stamps and packages mailing it out to us. I loved doing the proofs for the Run Club! I loved everypart of it, from painting faces, to scaring kids, to doing so many exercises and feeling nauseous, to eating a block of cheese. I. LOVED. EVERY. PART. OF. IT. Thank you so much for the best experience a VLC'er could ask for. No one is like you Ms. Blackthorne, you are one of a kind! and no one will ever forget you! No teacher I've ever met is as kind, hilarious, passionate, generous, young at heart as you. You have a heart of gold Ms.B. I literally want to cry because it's so rare to meet someone like you, you are one of a kind , a true 1 of 1. You have changed lives, seriously, and mine is definitely one of them! I don't even know how I will survive next year media arts class without being called a vegetable or a cucumber or a BUNNY or a snailie 😭. Sorry for all the grey hairs we gave you but in my defence I ALWAYS read the announcements :) The run club will NEVER be the same without you , media class wont be the same without you! I'll probably cry in media next year because you wont be there to tell me "No crying in media!" Who's gonna tell me to touch grass? Who's gonna call me a gremlin but mean it with so much love? You are a once in a life time teacher! NO ONE CAN EVER REPLACE YOU - EVER!

I genuinely dont think that you will ever understand how much you mean to us and how much we love you! you changed our lives, made class so much fun and made me look forward to it everytime!

I want to wish the most beautiful and peaceful retirement ever!, you're FREE! Free from all the chaos, from all the students who never read the announcements ( I read them tho!), Free from all those emails with no subject, free from all the dramatic emails that were in caps "URGENT SO VERY IMPORTANT LIFE THREATENING" - LOL , free from all the cucumbers!, your free from all the escargots, bunnies, cucumbers, pickles, gremlins and maybe even goblins. YOU ARE FREE!! I hope every single day of retirement is peaceful and amazing, I hope you never have to worry about marking assignments ever again. I hope you travel, I hope you laugh and stay happy! I hope you sew whatever your heart wants WITHOUT a deadline! I truly wish you so much happiness you deserve and peace because finally YOU ARE FREEEEEE! And if you ever miss us (which I know you will, me of course! yk YOUR FAVOURITE STUDENT EVER 😁 not rlly sure about the rest) just know that I will continue being a good snailie, touching grass and scaring kids! I will keep this brief, but I wanted to say - I really appreciate you. Something about your personality and demeanour is stress relieving (as weird as that sounds). Even though you poke me with the pokey stick and call me an anxious cucumber and a slow snaily, I don't feel made out to be stupid or anything. And as generic as that is, it matters to me (I can be made to feel very stupid sometimes). The courses which you have specialized in teaching are always my favourite of the semester. I only mourn the fact that my little sister Etangerine--ahem I mean Evangeline will not get to have you as a teacher. I feel so honoured that I got to have you as my teacher for your last sem here at the VLC. Happy retirement!
