Basically, human brain has three main parts:
1- Cerebral cortex
2- Cerebellum
3- Brain stem
In short, Cerebellum is in charge of body coordination and balance in movements and routine body functions, whereas Brain stems sets the automatic actions in our body, such as breathing, heart rate, reflexive reactions and so on. On the other hand, the most important part of the brain is Cerebral cortex which is in charge of thinking, creativity, imagination and totally everything related to human mind. This part of the brain has 4 parts: Frontal lobe, Parietal lobe, Temporal lobe and Occipital lobe. Each one of these parts helps brain to perceive, process, analyse, evaluate and conclude(make decision) based on the given data. Here is the video by Alila medical media, about the function of each part of the brain in details:

According to the recent research on human brain, the capability of the brain varies from one person to another. It means, people have their particular strengths and weaknesses which come from the specific function of their brain. In an overall classification, people are divided to right-brain and left-brain categories. Each side of the brain is in charge of different functions:
- Left side functions are associated with logical and reasoning thoughts, which can happen to increase ability for math and science studies.
-Right side functions are associated with Imagination and creativity, which is more related to the art and design area.
These categories can help us to have an understanding of our strengths and weaknesses in order to improve our brain functioning through learnings and trainings.

Despite which side of the brain is stronger, thinking skills can improve our brain functioning in order to gain our ability to learn and solve problems. For me as a musician, thinking skills can help me a lot to speed up the process of learning and also to increase the productivity and creativity in music production. In the anime below I pictured my brain functioning through learning and producing music:
