GOLD- Daniel Boone wanted riches. He wanted money and a good life for his wife and children. He was also looking to find more land in the area and hidden cultures. Another cause for Daniel Boone's exploration would be his wanting of information and knowledge. Daniel Boone kept finding more and more land in America that he and his people didn’t know of and that's what kept him going.

COMPARE/CONTRAST- The Americans travelling to the moon helped us know exactly what was out there. Actual real life people in space and on the moon helped us discover more of space and find the world’s hidden features. Also earth's exploration of space gained us knowledge about space and the moon. For example a moon rock was collected and data was taken about the earth's atmosphere. A difference is the time period of space exploration, it was later in time than when Daniel Boone explored earth.

GLORY- Daniel Boone wanted fame, this is another thing that drove him to keep exploring more land. He wanted to be one of the firsts to find new places and new territories. Daniel Boone discovered the Cumberland gap, one of his exploration findings, a long narrow trail or divot in the earth next to the Cumberland mountains that stretch through Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia.

COMPARE/CONTRAST- America wanted to be the first country to send people to the moon. We wanted that fame. That is a similarity because both Daniel Boone and America wanted fame. A difference between the moon exploration and Daniel Boone’s ongoing earth exploration is exactly that, one is on the moon in outer space and Daniel Boone explored earth. Another difference is the time period of space exploration, it was later in time than when Daniel Boone explored earth.

1. In 1769, Daniel Boone began a two-year exploration of eastern Kentucky. His party crossed through the Cumberland Gap and proceeded as far as the Ohio River falls. In 1773, an initial attempt to settle in the region was thwarted by Indian resistance. This is positive because Daniel Boone explored many things and found new routes/ways to travel. Daniel Boone also discovered many things and used to many tools to do so.

2. During the War of Independence, the small community of Boonesborough lay under constant attack from Indian allies of the British. Daniel Boone, a captain in the local militia, led the defense.

Daniel Boone and his people where under attack so he led the defense to protect his land and community. This is bad because they were being attacked, for being allies with the British. This is also good because Daniel Boone led the defense. But in the end Daniel Boone and his community lost and were kicked out of the area/property.

3. The Louisiana Purchase in 1803 ended his success: Ownership of Missouri was transferred to the United States, and many land titles were challenged -- including Boone’s. For the second time in his life, he lost most of his holdings and became deeply indebted. However, an act of Congress in 1814 restored a portion of his lands. This is bad because Daniel Boone was stripped of his ownership of his land.

Approaching and Basic-

Explorer- Daniel was excited about his finding and his exploration. He fled his country because of war In 1783. This is a primary source of Daniel Boone's actions in 1775. This is significant because he fled the country of england and discovered the cumberland gap.
Opposite view- People have believed that Daniel Boone refused to apologize and he then was kicked out of the quakers. The quakers community threatened death (by decapitation) for Daniel Boone if he didn’t apologize and he didn’t want to so he made his family flee the area with him. This is significant because he was kicked out of the area and had to find somewhere new.

Meets-

One place he fled because of war and the other place he was kicked out of, due to rudeness to people of each community.

Daniel and his family had belongings in their home. The furniture, much of it made by Daniel himself, is beautiful and functional. The bed had a roller at the foot so a quilt could be rolled on it and pulled up in the night if it became cold. A most intriguing cherry wood chest-desk-storage bureau, which had a hidden safe box that required a secret way to get it open, was demonstrated and the secret told. Daniel Boone created furniture and things for his home and that could have possibly showed people in their early life how he made furniture and how they should. There is also a gun and a hand carved gun powder horn in his home which also in earlier times back in the past carving could have been a really good way for people to get things and make things. Daniel boone could have helped and taught people how to carve. Carving is present in the present because some people carve wood and trees for decoration but also dishes and such. Daniel boone carved and crafted wood furniture and this is present today because there is handcrafted beautiful wood furniture. Also maybe Daniel Boone's techniques and ways of crafting and building this very sturdy and well built furniture could be used today.

2. Daniel Boone’s wife Rebecca's butter churn, loom and many kitchen items that the family owned are displayed in their historic home. All these things represent his family and ways they did things in their household. This could have helped in the olden days because daniel boone moved his family here and his wife could have taught people how to make butter and how to loom. Butter churns are no longer needed but looming is present in the future because some people can make their living off of making scarves and hat and gloves. Looming can also be found in present day as a way to relieve stress and be relaxed.

Causes of migration in Africa. In the pre-industrial era, environmental factors like droughts, natural disasters, and climate all influenced human decisions about where to migrate. The expansion of Bantu-speaking peoples through Central Africa illustrates this relationship between environment and migration.

So in other word expansion was caused by environmental factors, (drought, natural disasters, climate) Population increase (Daniel Boone founded the Cumberland gap and people along the way joined him in his journey to find a better life) , resource availability (amount of food, clothes, resources), etc.
