This requires greater collaboration between NGOs and governmental organizations in order to help deliver emergency services. information, resources, aid, etc. Whenever a health crisis occurs there are numerous organizations that get involved such as the Red Cross, WHO, etc. in order to help those in need. It is also important to be prepared for such emergencies which is the role provided by the government and other organizations involved. When these organizations come together and provide support this leads to a swift and rapid response for emergencies. For example, COVID-19 showed us how multiple organizations can partner and provide emergency services in the face of a new health crisis.

The best response would be to be prepared for disasters such as pandemics, bioterrorism, natural disasters, etc. Also, practicing scenarios and drills would be ideal in order to be prepared if any such event were to take place. Although the Ebola outbreak is not related to the COVID-19 pandemic it is very similar in the response taken. In the image, there is a nurse vaccinating another person against the ebola disease. This is one of the roles the government or health organizations play when it comes to outbreaks. Measures such as temporary outdoor facilities to cope with the increasing number of cases and severity of the disease. Having medical staff in place and ready to assist people in need is part of the response taken against health crises, especially communicable diseases. Similar to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was also the incorporation of new temporary facilities for vaccinations, tests, medical treatment, isolation, etc. It is also critical to implement measures like these in order to cope with disasters and provide effective services for people in need.

Many hospitals were over maximum capacity and had to move patients to other non-standard facilities. In this case, patients were moved into the hallways of a hospital in order to still provide treatment and safety from passing on the virus. This is a type of emergency relief/aid that had to be done in order to provide health services. Hospitals were placed under immense strain with not enough medical staff or resources to deal with the increasing demands of the pandemic. The usage of masks by both patients and staff also shows measures that were taken in order to curve the spread of the disease. For example, Doctors Without Borders, WHO, United Nations, IMF, Clinton Foundation, CDC, etc. Their roles such as disbursing resources whether that be financial or other forms of humanitarian aid. These organizations deliver aid to regions where there is armed conflict, natural disasters, epidemics, etc. The article also discussed a key part of global health policy which are the "global health initiatives" that have been implemented in the past ten years. These initiatives were originally created as emergency responses in order to control the increasing number of major infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS. This was all done via the collaboration of numerous international organizations working together to mobilize resources directly to those in need. The challenge with this method of humanitarian aid is helping Africa and other developing nations come back from these intense health crises. The Red Cross is very efficient at administering emergency aid while WHO is essential for policy and creating strategies. Combined both organizations are very useful against, for example, COVID-19 or endemic issues often found in developing nations.
