Giraffes

Giraffes are the tallest land animals in the world. They belong to the group of mammals and are classified as herbivores. Giraffes are native to the African continent and usually live in savannas, grasslands, and open woodlands. They are known for their unique appearance and peaceful nature.

Giraffes have extremely long necks, which allow them to reach leaves at the top of tall trees, especially acacia trees. They also have long, strong legs and can run at speeds up to 60 kilometers per hour to escape predators. Their bodies are covered with patterned spots that help them blend into their surroundings. Each giraffe has a unique pattern, just like human fingerprints. Giraffes usually live in small groups and communicate using body movements, sounds, and even low-frequency vocalizations that are difficult for humans to hear. Although they are gentle animals, they can defend themselves by kicking with their powerful legs.

Identify the General Classification part of the text.
