Some examles of historical relevancy include, lying is a sin,as well disobaying your father. Rebels stealing beef, both sides sending messeges to different towns. Rebels and Torys meeting while going to either send a messege or going to see a rebel or tory. People having to walk to deliver messeges, because they didn't have a mail box,or a car, or a horse to deliver a messege.Young boys and girls going to a rebel's or tory's home to ask for a job to help them or even maybe deliver a messege for a shilling or money.

Some examples of historical doings include the example of sins such as, lying and disobeying your father is a sin. Also when Tim was delivering a message is saying that then they did not have cars and instead they would have personal messengers (or even slave and servants) or horse buggies for delivering. Also a lot of people owned a farm (like Mr. Heron) to get meat and milk, as well as other necessities for meals to feed their family and for selling at markets for shilling. If you didn't have a farm you probably it least had a few chickens and/or a cow. Another historical relevance was that Fairfield and Redding (towns mentioned) were actually towns in colonial america.

Ten Commandments, is one. lieing is a sin. The golden rule is a commandment. There's Rebels, and Tories. There's also Lobsterbacks. Also there wasn't cars, or any motorized vehicles, so Tim had to walk. Messengers were important during that time, because spying was happening, and the mail men could peck in the message, so a trust able messenger was very important. Also a lot of stuff were a sin. This is all the stuff (that i thought about) that were historical relevancy.
