I name for leaders why the high leverage practices are equitable and how it moves student learning forward. I center student learning in the conversations to emphasize what is needed for all students. We actively discuss scaffolds and extensions to support student learning.

I work with leaders and teachers to plan for how teachers will leverage more student discourse through protocols, total participation techniques, and checks for understanding to ensure that the person who is "talking" is the one who is "learning". By elevating student voice, students have an opportunity to become leaders of the their own learning (LOTOL) and engage in the rich texts and their fellow peers to connect their experience to make the world a better place.

Elevate Voice = Elevate Leadership

Elevate Leadership = Elevate Learning

By supporting leaders with a deep understanding of all 8 High Leverage Instructional Practices and the "why" behind each practice, we promote clarity of thinking that grows beyond compliance.
