         <description><![CDATA[<div>Carbohydrates- organic compound such as sugar or starch, and used to store energy.<br>-small repeating units is monosaccharides.<br>-polysaccharide is a complex carbohydrate, bind in chain.<br>Lipid- organic compound such as fat or oil, to store energy.<br>-saturated fatty acids, carbon atoms are bonded to make hydrogen atoms possible. Form straight chains, packed very tightly together, allowing to store energy, solids at room temp. and animals use them.&nbsp;<br>-Unsaturated fatty acids, some aren't bonded to as many hydrogen atoms as possible. Causes chains to bend, cannot be packed tightly together, liquids at room temp. and plants use them.<br>-Types of lipids, triglycerides, phospholipids and steroids.<br>Protein-&nbsp; organic compound made up of small molecules called amino acids. 20 different amino acids, found in the proteins of living things.&nbsp;<br>-When amino acids bind together, they form a long chain called a polypeptide.<br>-Protein may have up to four levels of structure.&nbsp;<br>Nucleic Acids- organic compound, such as DNA and RNA, that is built of small units called nucleotides.&nbsp;<br>-Nucleotides bind together to form a chain called a polynucleotide.<br>-DNA consists of two polynucleotide chains.<br>-RNA consists of just one polynucleotide chain.<br>-Sugar, phosphate group, nitrogen base.<br>-Cytosine, adenine, guanine, and either thymine (DNA) or uracil (RNA). Cytosine with guanine, adenine with thymine. Called complementary base pairs.<br>-Binding of complementary bases allows DNA molecules to take their well-known shape called a double helix.&nbsp;<br>-DNA is found in genes.</div>]]></description>
