The hardest part in my classroom was that all different levels of students are in my class. I try not to call out who needs more scaffolds than others, so organizing this seamlessly is sometimes harder. Small groups, right?

I like how you included multiple examples of the biology CERS. I thought it was helpful seeing the CER and the modified ones with the scaffolds in place.

Understanding the directions on the cream page was frustrating.

Understanding the shape up review was easy.

Challenging would be making the scaffolds and screening them for understandability before giving them to students.

Great reminders on how to use Ai to easily create and scaffold our assignments. Getting students writing regularly makes it easy for them and when they get to higher grade levels and beyond! Thank you

It was helpful to experience the frustration that students might experience with writing to understand the importance of scaffolding.

I think it would be great if we had a uniform set of scaffolds across content areas so what happens in one class is being reinforced in another.

Nothing was frustrating; I got the easy prompt!
It was a very clear presentation. The handouts and color coded sheets were appreciated.
Making it relevant for study skills in classes with grades 9-12.
When it’s appropriate to give certain students scaffolds over others within the same class period.

Frustrating: deciphering the astronomy question without scaffolds

Easy: CERs! I do em all the time

Challenging: many different levels (up to five because I teach electives)

Supports: ready to use resources that can be recycled

These were great examples of how to scaffold for writing especially for those of us who don't necessarily use many of these strategies. As a fine arts teacher these were really helpful and I have many ways in which I can implement these when teaching how to write about art.

As a teacher to ELL students, a lot of this was easy to adapt and internalize to my teaching strategies. However, I really appreciated the two examples at the end (the Shape Up Review and Learning Frames)! More strategies for my repertoire!!

I loved the examples of different scaffolds.

The blue paper was the best paper!

Difficult to scaffold that much in math, depending on topics. I know scaffolding is important!

The only support is just time to use AI to find some good scaffolds for upcoming lessons.

I was frustrated because I got the pink writing prompt! I think one thing I want to really consider is when to pull back scaffolds. Especially for students in different settings

I had the blue paper. It was actually kind of frustrating that the answers were in order because I felt like it was just busy work. i quite liked this exercise

This was ao fun. I love writing in the contents. I think that it was frustrating that it was unfair that different "kids" at the same table got different stuff. So I just traded with my friend. It was easy because I like the topic. I started at MHSHS doing one constructed response per unit in Geometry. But slowly pulled away. I think that students do get deeper understanding when we thoughtfully prepare writing resources for them to describe their thoughts. Also, I think be careful with AI definitely proof read.
