Given the wealth of information available online, it is crucial to be able to assess the reliability of sources, spot misinformation, and stay away from disinformation. Understanding how to communicate successfully online and how to utilize digital tools and platforms responsibly and ethically are also part of media literacy. A member of Gen Z should also be aware of the possible dangers of sharing personal information online and learn how to safeguard online privacy and security.<br><br></div>]]></description>

The reasons for needing this information can vary, but can include a desire to learn more about a specific subject, a need to understand a concept in order to complete a task, or a requirement from a teacher or professor.<br><br></div><div><br>In the past, tasks that I have completed that required searching for information include writing research papers on various topics, studying for exams by reading and taking notes on assigned readings and class materials, and looking up information to complete assignments or projects. Additionally, I have also used information searching to stay informed about current events, and to learn new skills or hobbies.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I've had someone correct me on facts I believed to be accurate, and in that case, our talk devolved into a fight, especially while we were having a group discussion. We got into a serious argument because I believed the evidence I had was solid enough for me to demonstrate that my viewpoint was superior to hers, and as a result, my anger turned into a rage emotion, which caused misunderstandings for both of us. After that serious argument, however, I realized my error because I detest being corrected, especially in front of other people. As a result of discovering these facts, I feel as though I should be more honest with myself and remember that giving feedback is similar to exchanging ideas or information with others.</div>]]></description>

The games taught me the importance of fact-checking and verifying information before sharing it on social media. Misinformation can spread like wildfire and cause harm to individuals, groups, and society at large. In the game, it was challenging to reverse the spread of misinformation once it went viral, demonstrating how crucial it is to prevent it from happening in the first place.<br>The Bad News Games highlighted how easy it is to manipulate information and shape public opinion for personal gain. The game demonstrated that creating and spreading fake news is unethical and can lead to severe consequences.<br><br>Overall, both games emphasized the importance of media literacy and critical thinking skills in today's digital age. By learning to identify and verify reliable sources, we can avoid spreading misinformation and make informed decisions based on facts rather than propaganda.<br><br>In conclusion, the Go Viral and The Bad News Games were eye-opening experiences that highlighted the dangers of fake news and the importance of responsible online behavior.
