It is our jobs as teachers to help make education as simple and effective as possible for all students. Students with Dyslexia have many challenges within classrooms that can make this learning even more strenuous. Imagine you’re learning something completely out of your comfort zone, trying to understand concepts you have never heard of before, your teacher provides you with lots of worksheets and information designed to help you. 
 
Now imagine that the words on the worksheets disappear,
rearrange, become blurry, etc.  
 
Dyslexia looks different for every person, but no matter
what, Teachers have the responsibility to ensure we provide inclusive learning for everyone. This Padlet will help provide information regarding Dyslexia and ways in which strategies can be applied to help improve learning for students living with Dyslexia.

Within this group Intellectual and developmental disabilities are the second most common disability, affecting 6.3% of individuals (Caskey et al., 2018). 

Moreover, as suggested by the Australian Dyslexia Association, nearly 20% of the Australian population have some form of Dyslexia (Caskey et al., 2018)

Students with Dyslexia may experience high levels of anxiety, negative attitudes towards learning and substandard overall wellbeing (Yang et al, 2022).
