Spinner Dolphins are small, energetic dolphins known for their incredible spinning jumps out of the water. They can leap and spin up to 7 times in the air! These dolphins live in large, social groups and communicate through sounds and movements.

During the day, Spinner Dolphins rest in the calm, shallow waters of Fernando de Noronha, a volcanic island group located in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Brazil. This area is part of a protected marine park and is famous for its rich underwater life. At dusk, the dolphins swim into deeper waters to hunt small fish and squid.

Fernando de Noronha is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its biodiversity and crystal-clear waters, making it one of the best places in the world to see marine animals like dolphins, turtles, and colorful fish.

This area is incredibly biodiverse, home to over 1,500 species of fish, 400 types of coral, six out of seven species of marine turtles, and around 30 species of whales and dolphins.

Unfortunately, the reef is under serious threat due to climate change, pollution, and outbreaks of crown-of-thorns starfish, which can cause coral bleaching and loss of marine life.

This area is incredibly biodiverse, home to over 1,500 species of fish, 400 types of coral, six out of seven species of marine turtles, and around 30 species of whales and dolphins.

Raja Ampat, Indonesia

Raja Ampat is Indonesia’s most easterly province and has earned its reputation as the world epicenter of marine biodiversity. At Cape Kri the tremendous amount of fish life is dominated by dogtooth tuna, giant trevallies and chevron barracuda. The coral growth here is equally fantastic, with numerous hard and soft varieties.

It is home to one of the largest brain corals in the world that is located in Speyside on the Atlantic coast. Although Tobago reefs, similar to many Caribbean coral reefs, have a long history of disturbance, the critically endangered Elkhorn coral (Acropora palmata) is still present on specific reefs in northeast Tobago. Owing to the unique biodiversity, the coral reefs in northeast Tobago have been proposed for marine protection.

Lady Elliot Island, Great Barrier Reef

Magical Lady Elliot Island on the southern Great Barrier Reef never fails to delight divers and snorkelers. Known as home of the manta ray, these solitary gentle giants can grow up to 7 meters in width, yet despite their large size, they feed upon some of the smallest creatures in the ocean — microscopic plankton. Often seen on the same dives, schooling jacks create flashes of silver light as the gently cruise and suddenly shift and dart.
