I am in my first year of teaching at Mesa High School. I teach 5 dance classes ranging from Beginning to Adv. I teach grades 9th - 12th. I also have another full time job working at a local dance studio, where I direct the competition companies and teach Intermediate/ Adv Jazz and ballet classes. I work with ages 7-18 here and have been teaching for over 22 years. My mom owns this studio and has been a successful family business from the very beginning. I recently was teaching at the community college levels for jazz and ballet, but decided to switch over to a high school setting which was a little more reliable and consistent. I now am having to finish the education certificate by being a part of this resident intern teaching programs.

I am very excited to learn new ways to teach in a high school setting and look forward to gaining knowledge about managing my classroom and building on my lesson plans. I would love any advice or input a long the way for different strategies and task that work for other teachers and always look forward to enhancing my curriculum to excel in the overall goal of learning.

I have a daughter who is 12 and dances full time at our studio. I am lucky to share my passion and experience with her and so very fortunate we can spend time together while I am working. I am glad I am able to pursue a career that I am passionate for. Sharing my love and passion for the arts with other students is truly a gift.
