A shared space where parents and community members can post questions, share ideas, and view responses all in one place. This tool allows us to collect and address “shared wonderings” more efficiently while keeping information organized and accessible. You can submit questions ahead of time for Chat & Chew sessions or add them during the event. The Padlet will serve as a living hub for ongoing communication, helping us strengthen clarity, transparency, and connection across the Parker community.

It’s hard on the teachers and even harder on these kids, especially those with different learning abilities. Is there any possibility of adjusting the schedule to include some breaks or transition times?

It seems there is an increase in the amount of fire ant mounds around the campus. So much so that I've been bitten simply standing out front during dismissal (on the concrete), in the outdoor seating area by the cafeteria, and on the spark park playground. My kids have come home with ant bites acquired during school hours as well. Is there anything in the works to treat the campus? And if not, how could we arrange for this to be addressed?

What is a reasonable time to expect a response from a teacher? After what point should be elevated to an AP or to the principal? I have yet to see any graded work come home and have not had any grades put in in the month of September. It makes it incredibly difficult to know what is happening at school and how my child is doing.

Parent square is new. But I think it needs attention. One of my child’s teachers sent out a conference sign-up, but it was not sent to all classes so one whole group of her students did not have access to get signed up for a conference. I think the staff might need additional training on this or perhaps the functionality is not great. If it’s not working as it should, perhaps communication sent through parent Square should also be sent through traditional email.

A love of learning and an enjoyment of school is foundational to learning.

I think we all know that this is not a great learning environment when such young children feel immense stress. I think there needs to be more discussion about how this is going to be addressed. The dread my kid feels each day is like the last few weeks of the school year. It is only week seven.

I am trying to understand the pacing decisions that are happening for kindergarten. The natural breaks like snack and recess have now all been compounded into one event. Children are having to take their snack outside to eat during their recess break- cutting down on their time to have 2 natural breaks that children this age need. The responses are due to the need to keep up requirements and pacing.

These are 5 year olds that need to eat and move. My child feels like he isn’t going to get to play now and half the time his stuff goes missing because it is challenging for them to keep up with everything. Why the rush? They need this pause. Why did it shift to all at one time? Why are the requirements so rigid for this age? He’s already voicing it’s too much.
